Who is the worst character in any of the trek series?

Edit: Oh, if Abrams Trek counts, then everybody in Abrams Trek not Kirk, Spock or Uhura. Worst casting ever. Other than those three the cast were treated as throwaway characters.

Wait, do you have a problem with the casting or the treatment of the characters? Very different things. I'd agree that there's not enough screen time for McCoy/Sulu/Chekov, but the casting is pretty awesome. and certainly by Into Darkness, Scotty is not treated as a throwaway.

TOS: None. Only the main 3 were really and truly developed and they're all great. Put a gun to my head and I guess I say Chekov if only because I like him the least of the big 7.
TNG: Troi. Useless. At least Wesley did enough to get on your nerves. Troi is just irrelevant.
DS9: Jake. Again, mostly irrelevant and directionless for many seasons. It's sad when Nog blows you away as a character.
VOY: Janeway. Worst captain ever.
NuTrek: Scotty. Bad comic relief is grating. Kirk is a second if only b/c the writers have made him a caricature of Shatner's play on the character.

TOS - Chapel
TNG - Pulaski
DS9 - Kira (how I wish it was Ro)
VOY - Chakotay
ENT - Reed (seemed sort of skevy)

Hmm... between Harry "Cardboard" Kim and Jonathan "Double Dumbass" Archer... gotta choose Archer. At least Harry's character flaws and screw ups were on a much smaller scale.
Harry was I believe fresh out of the academy, so being intelligent in some ways, yet clueless in others is somewhat understandable.

Archer on the other hand was selected for a high profile command, you would think that whoever starfleet selected would be the best commanding officer availible.

It kind of scary to think that maybe Archer was !!!!

:)

TOS: None, They all worked for me.
TNG: Alexander and Wesley. Alex was too wimpy (I wanted him to be a rambunctious kid) and Wes was too... ugh.
DS9: Jadzia. She didn't feel like she had multiple lives.
VOY: Torres and Chakotay. Whenever Torres gets mad it's her Klingon sides fault and Chakotay didn't feel like an Ex-Maquis, but more like Janeway's sidekick.
ENT: I liked Archer in the beginning, who went down hill after that. Hoshi was mostly useless, Mayweather had no story (other than the clipper ship thing), T'Pol needed to figure out if she was Vulcan or not. Trip was just off and Reed was a bore. Phlox and Porthos were the only characters I was ok with.
TNG: Wesley - I hate child geniuses
I was going to say that but if Wesley was more like Doogie Howser than he would be fine.

Fucking negative thread....

That said, Lwuxana makes me want to just skip to the next episode.

I have said this before but T'Pol and 7-of-9 are not my favorites. I have had my fill of cold bitchy women.

Why does everyone hate Wesley?

Am I the only one who was disappointed when he left TNG? :P

I'm with you. I enjoyed his arc and never minded that he was a genius.

Wesley got a lot better as he went on. Then they ruined it with that stupid "Higher Plane of Being" BS.

I didn't care much for Kes or Chakotay. I loved all the TOS and TNG casts. Mayweather was kind of useless. Not a bad guy, just...there.

As for DS9...ugh...Odo irritated the shit out of me, as did Kira. I'll even go further (at the risk of public lynching) and say I didn't really like Sisko either. It was not really Brooks' fault (although he did Shatner the hell out of some of his scenes). The whole Prophet thing turned me off from the beginning. I just didn't buy into that storyline.

I did love Garak and Quark though. They should have had more of them.

TOS - Really can't choose anybody.
TNG - Yar (and for the films: Data....yeah, Data)
DS9: Nobody, I love them all.
VOY: 7 of 9 or Chakotay
ENT: T'Pol

Wesley is just so God damned annoying. If you make a collection of all the most ridiculous lines ever said on TNG, at least half of them came out of Wesley's mouth.

Plus there was whole thing where he was better than the professionals were at their jobs. If there was a problem aboard the Enterprise, don't ask the engineer or the weapons expert or even the fucking android; talk to the boy.

But yeah I was sad when he left. I remember I watched "Final Mission" with my Grandpa. We were both kind of bummed. As annoying as he was, he was still a part of the family.

Plus, it's still Wil Wheaton. Honestly I can't think of anyone who I have a stronger love/hate relationship with a actor/character.
