If it is true i might actually wait until december for getting a PS4, so i get a Vitae with it and there should be some more games around as well...
Though that means i might pick up the PS3 versions of Watch Dogs and Assasin's Creed 4, but i doubt the PS3 and PS4 version will differ that much...

The Vita is failing and Sony is marketing the system more as a peripheral for the PS4 than its own system. A bundle makes sense to me.

    I'd buy it.

Yup, that bundle a while back with the 10 retail games, 8GB card and the console for the price of the unit itself was an indicator of how much they want to shift the thing. So it's not unlikely.

The Vita is a pretty decent piece of kit. Too bad the only game worth playing on it is Persona 4.

Not really interested unless there's the killer game of hell to go with it that makes using a Vita necessary, so far i haven't heard of such a thing.

So it'll be only the PS4 for me with a different bundle hopefully (second controller or some game i'm interested in).

Ys: Memories of Celceta! I'd buy a system for Ys.

The Vita also has remote play with the PS4, so for $100 it's pretty much worth it even if you don't buy any Vita games.

It also has a pretty impressive backlog of PS1 games plus a ton of PSP games available for download so there's a bunch of stuff to play. Just not much new stuff ;)

I would pay $100 more to get a Vita with the package. Good deal if it's true.

60% of the games I play are Japanese RPGs. I know, most Americans abandoned the genre in the late 90s, but I like them, I just wish the stories were as grownup as Western games. But all Japanese RPGs are moving to handhelds, so I might need a Vita to play the games I want to play.

I own 2 Vitas at the moment and they are remarkable pieces of hardware. After Killzone Mercenary, I don't see a any software coming out that I'd be interested in. Tearaway maybe.

If Sony doesnt do something to get better software on this platform, I may be dumping it soon. Going the peripheral route might be best.

Well, I have to ask. Why do you have 2 Vitas?

The real question is, why would you want that shitbox known as the "vita".

The only reason to get a Vita is to play the few Japanese games that'll be developed for it and never licensed/localized in the West and even then you're better off waiting for someone to make an emulator for it. At least then you can patch the game menus into English if they don't encrypt the game files.

    Kids.

I bought 1 on launch day and I let my 6 y/o son play from time to time. He managed to muck up the touchscreen up and decided to wash it for his Dad.... So I took it back and instead of taking the defective Vita, they just gave me another one. A week after sitting in raw rice, the Vita started to work again. So that one belongs to my son and I have my own.

Even if I do decide to get rid of my Vitas, I still wouldn't be sorry that I bought it. As I said, it is a remarkable device and it certainly outclasses any other handheld in the history of mobile gaming. There are a ton of games for it that are great, but just not a lot of the console quality experiences that I thought would come to it when I bought it. Uncharted Golden Abyss, Little Big Planet Vita, Unit 13, Wipeout 2048, and the upcoming Killzone Mercenary (of which I was a part of the closed Beta) are among the best games today on any platform, IMHO. I just wish there were more games like that coming.

So... No bundle coming out of Gamescom, but the remote play feature w/ PS4 looks impressive.

The OLED screen is also being ditched in favour of a LCD screen.

No one is talking about the Vita TV? I think it looks pretty cool. That would be a neat bundle with the PS4 as an extender from the living room to the kids room.
