Strictly Come Dancing 2013

For those of you who follow Strictly Come Dancing, or those of us who have spouses who do (and thus there’s no escape) - Fiona Fullerton is this year's first confirmed signing...

Ah, who am I kidding, I always develop a fondness for some contestant or other. And Ola.

Glad Ola's still there, though I will miss Aliona.

So a Bond girl, expect her to have to dance to some Bond track if she stays in long enough.

I still reckon there'll be a Who connection given the 50th, and my money all along has been on Davison, with Louise Jameson or maybe Freema as other potential choices.

 

I gather Abbey Clancy (apparently a "celebrity" for being married to some footballist) is also now signed.

 

Is that Peter Crouch's wife? (She's a model I believe)

I do, however, look a hell of a lot more like Bill Bailey.

First officially announced celeb is Vanessa Feltz

 

At least I've heard of her.

There are 15 pairs this year - the most ever.

It is always interesting to see who I've heard of and who I haven't.

I wonder what hilarious comedy pairing Anton will get this year?

 

And the series starts at 6:50pm a week on saturday, September 7th.

 

I suspect that'll be the introduction/pairing off/group dance show with the show proper starting a couple of weeks later after the pairings have practice time?

 

Yeah, though they might not have a gap in between since there are three more couples than usual

Golfer Tony Jacklin is the second celeb revealed. Apparently all the rest will be revealed Monday (so expect them to be revealed in a Sunday newspaper...)

 

Can this show last After the death of Bruce Forsyth?

 

I'm pretty sure he'll regenerate...

Tess and Claudia do a good job on his weeks off...plus every year loads of people complain about him being too old/not funny etc.
