I wonder why Amazon isn't dropping the price more like they did with season 3. I have $44 in Amazon credits that I'd love to use but I'd love to use them even more if season 4 was selling for $60.

The price should drop to $60 on release day at the latest. Amazon will be matching Target's price as always.
I remember for season 3 they dropped the price on the Sunday night before the set was released. I still think that will happen for Season 4.
We'll alert you as soon as they do... normally it's the Sunday before release 
Amazon UK emailed me today to say my set had been dispatched and should arrive by Monday. Awesome!

Yeah, pretty sure it won't drop cheaper. Season 3 has been out 3 months and it hasn't gone below the $58 mark
Amazon probably lowered their prices because of Target.
Target ad I'm seeing has Season 4 at $59.99 and Redemption at $12.99.

As with Season 3 and Best of Both Worlds, buy both and get $10 off.
So... that's like getting Redemption for $3. Or both for just about $63. Not bad.
Now only if I can find them at a Target store that morning. If not, I'll just get Season 4 alone from Amazon, and hope it doesn't get f'd up in shipping.

Or you can get them at Best Buy if you have one near you and Target is all out. What you do is price match S4 to Target's or Amazon's price ($59.99), then you trade in a used DVD on Redemption to get that down to $9.99. Total: $69.98 before tax, which beats Amazon by $3 and you get them both on Tuesday.

Is there any way we can branch the threads off and have all the "here's a discount if you follow this link" or "just came in the mail but I haven't watched it yet so I have nothing further to add but a vanity post!!!!!!" type replies separate from the good stuff, ie the talk about the content of the discs themselves.
These threads are great, the posts from Trekcore are brilliant and people's opinions on what works and doesn't on the remastering or bonus features (as well as the original eps themselves) are great to read.
But to get to them you have to filter through loads of "in the moment" posts about people saying they've ordered the DVD which feels like it should be in a completely separate thread to the discussion of SFX/CBS Digital et al.
My 2 cents.

You mean the three second nonHD shot? Nope.
They did however catch an audio error in time for that episode and fixed it for the S4 set.
