The only explainable reason for Vorik not having a backup sex buddy is if his already allotted and assigned back up sex buddy, who had sealed into a contract with a handsome handshake, had recently died following the Captains insane orders.
If Janeway had "killed" his sex buddy, then one of two things should have ocurred, that Janeway automatically inheritted the sexbuddies duties as the manslaughteress of the sexbuddy just like the 1st runner up of some/any beauty pageant is praying that Miss Hillbilly Appalachia's porn tape surfaces before her own does... Or that the sexbuddies last will and testiment had passed on those sexduties to some unexpeted putz thinking that they were expecting a nice bottle of wine or an old baseball card collection.
