I should really start looking into getting the optimal doffs for getting contraband.
5 contraband can be exchanged daily for 2000 Dilithium per day per character.
The tricky part is then to find the contraband assignments in a short time.

 

I haven't had a problem staffing the rare assignments even with lower numbers. However, I'm pretty choosy when picking up DOFFs. I look at how their traits contribute to the 'big picture'. Plus whenever possible I transfer DOFFs between characters so that each character has the DOFFs that benefits them the most. For example, if Doc Lee acquires a rare Engineer DOFF, he'll trade with Jho'dig for a rare Doctor DOFF.

My DOFF population is currently low for a couple of reasons, I've donated a lot of whites to the sb projects and I'm not running the full 20 assignments. Mainly focusing on Diplomacy/Marauding for now.

I wish the SB projects had been around sooner as I've dumped hundreds of DOFFs on the exchange, selling some for as low as 35credits.

I should check out Contraband farming also. I almost always run that assignment, so I probably have a little stockpile of Contraband. Where do I convert it to Dilithium?

Here is my quick lesson on Contraband farming.

Level a KDF to 50. Their marauding rewards plenty of contraband. I recommend only doing marauding assignments with a reward. If you do this regularly, you will max out marauding cxp before you know it.

Start out at the Klingon Homeworld. Go to Pi Canari Sector and take the marauding missions offered, and the first officer missions under your officers tab. Then go to Eti Eridani Sector, and do the same. You will get plenty of marauding assignments for farms, bases, refineries, etc.

Then make your way to Beta Ursae Sector, either by direct transwarp if you have it, use the transwarp to the asteroid mining, or cut through Orellus block. Here again take the marauding missions, paying special attention to the freighter missions. It seems the Ferengi freighter has the best payout.

You also get rewards of prisoners. Do the prisoner missions found under military, not the one you go to first city for. The payout is comperable, and you have a better chance of success.

I end up with anywhere between 5 and 20 contraband a day, depending on which assignments are available. And I haven't finished optimizing my KDF doffs for the necessary assignments.

Also, click on operations under your officers, and expel colonists. It's an easy 500 dil and is available once every day or so.

 

Also, you want lots of X Weapon Officer (either is fine) and Transporter Officer doffs for the marauding missions. Having Assault Squad Officers is good too, since some of them take those as well. But definitely Transporter guys with the good traits (I believe Unscrupulous is one of them).

Make sure you don't have a hold full of prisoners. It's really annoying when you fill up and then can't complete other missions: the Ferengi freighter/trading post ones tend to give both lots of contraband and prisoners, and if you can't get at your contraband, that sucks.

 

Where's the best place for Trade and Recruitment XP? Those are the only 2 I've got left to max out on my Fed toon.

 

DS9 and surrounding sectors are good for trade.

Jim Gamma - I think you can almost always find Recruitment assignments at SFA.

 

As well as recruitment, it offers the option to take Cardassian dissendents in Asylum as well as Paradan & Karemma Officer Exchanges. Just fly between the sectors in that region.
Might need to have some chains done.

At least, when I still played. And yeah, recruitment is the only one I hadn't maxed, as the Academy ones don't work so well when you only have 100 Doff slots.

 

Doing the Tour the Universe mission also helps with Trade and Recruitment XP. Every completed sector block awards some in addition to the EC.

 

The bad thing about Trade and Recruitment is that very few of the missions give a lot of cxp, because they give other rewards - commodities, doffs, or loadsa dil. Really annoying.

Trade: the best consistent one is actually the Turn In Contraband, which also gets you a pretty good amount of dil.

Recruitment: apparently you can dismiss doffs for a tiny bit of dil and a semi-decent amount of cxp. Test it out, and maybe turn those whites into something useful.

 

except the whites have more value now for the Starbase projects. And to think how many I wasted or dismissed back when they were worthless...

 

You know, I'm really bad about not paying attention to the DOFF assignment rewards. I just spam the 'collect rewards' button. Please list some of the ones that I should be running to get maximum Dil. Thanks for your service!

 

Here is a list of some of the best missions for dil. Though they missed the "Forced Labor Requisition," which also gives 500 dil. There is the Forced Labor Camp mission in the various clusters, which gives 350.

Arg...that obstacle course is rather long...doing it on four-plus toons is going to be a hassle. At least there's little chance of failure, and no loading screens.

 

Wait till you try it with 10 toons.. Last night I fell asleep while running the course.

 

That's why i will only do it with my main. once i got all the accolades and maybe a bit or two of the new outfits, i might get some of the outfits for my Romulan and that will be it for me.

 

I must be doing something wrong. I fell out of the sky.

Where do you find something casual to wear on Risa? My toon is wearing formal wear at the moment.

 

I made a combination with a TOS Mirror Shirt and the TMP trousers in disco colors for Risa.

 

Can someone please tell me what the minimum level a character has to be to access the summer event is?
