Listening to the James Swallow interview. Your Skype connection is terrible, his audio keeps cutting out. Can you tell me what the Jack Ryan quote in Cast No Shadow was?

    It's a great interview.

Unfortunately you had to start off on the wrong foot by reminding me of Johnny Football's dismantling of my Sooners. :(

The Stuff of Dreams part was interesting too since I just finished reading that.

I will have to listen to it again. That was not the best connection the first tim we had him on. I am sorry about that.

Can't say I'm sorry about Johnny Football ;)

No problem. I just couldn't quite make that part out. I thought the Vaughn / Ryan connection was cool, and that he did a little homage, but the audio cut out during the quote.

Dude you guys have a great QB. Glad to see a Big 12 team (and not even one of our stronger teams, though maybe with that QB you are) could go over to the SEC and be that competitive. I was glad to see y'all stick it to 'Bama. :) You guys have some great years ahead of you.

Blame me, that's my naff internet connection... :klingon:

The Jack Ryan reference in Cast No Shadow is on page 74, a nod to a line from The Hunt For Red October - "Next time, Jack, write a goddamn memo."

"Cast No Shadow", is my favorite stand alone Trek book. The James Swallow interview was awesome. I think it is awesome when authors throw in a little homage to other authors or IP's:bolian:

Your show has been great. I have listened from the beginning. Would you consider discussing the crucible books, or books such as Federation or Prime Directive? Also, are you going to discuss another comic book this week?
