^ I totally agree. I don't know if it was necessary to have an interlude issue right when we're about to wrap things up, but my goodness was that awesome. If anyone could have written this issue it was Burnham who has I think in a very short time working with him, come to understand how Morrison writes and thinks. This was awesome and we leave right into the end of issue ten. I'd take a Jiro/Canary mini-series or ongoing.

I doubt it. WayneTech certainly uses the same overseas shell games that Apple, Microsoft, Google, and dozens of other big tech firms use -- the money is stashed in dummy corporations in Ireland, and WayneTech's taxable US income is just the tip of the financial iceberg.

Did Bruce have to explain himself to his own accountants, or did they just assume that he was planning on taking over the world eventually and shut the fuck up?

Can you imagine his every answer to a nosey account asking about bat rims on the batmobile or giant batlaser cannons built inside batvolcanoes being a Michael Keatonian "I'm Batman!"

(Oh, Noland handled this in his first flick didn't he?)

Morgan Freeman: "You think that you can blackmail a man who prowls the streets of Gotham every night beating people half to death? What sort of fool are you?"

^ That quote happened in "The Dark Knight"...and I think this has been addressed before in the comics somewhere. My mind is blanking at the moment but I think during the 90's early 00's.

Meh? That trilogy is just one squat blob.

I've only been reading Aquaman since the Throne of Atlantis story line so maybe I'm missing something, but what was up with issue 20? That just seemed like a weird story that came out of nowhere to me.

I've also really been enjoying the Shazam backup story in Justice League. It will be interesting to see where they go with him after next issue.

In the trade its called a "fill-in". It either helps the regular team meet a deadline or lets them take a break.

Except this issue was done by the regular team.

Nope. It was done by John Ostrander and Manuel Garcia. The cover credits are wrong.

As soon as you say John Ostrander and "X" character, I wonder how he or she would have integrated into the classic 80s Suicide Squad and how Captain Boomerang would have made their life hell.

Yeah as was mentioned previously DC forgot or didn't credit them properly. I didn't mind the issue, but it wasn't as strong as the previous issues have been. The art was good though.

Superman #20 was pretty decent as well.

Wow, JLA is my one an only pull from either company tomorrow. I can't remember the last time that's happened.

Nothing on my pull list from DC today, and it's a light day in general for me.

JLA is so much better than Justice league.

If they introduce Sue Dibney next week I'm going to get worried.

Light day for me too. Just Earth 2 Annual and JLA from DC.

It was a big week for me last week but definitely a light one this week. Just JLA from DC and Avenging Spider-Man from Marvel on my regular pull-list. I'm also picking up Iron Man 258.4 for nostalgia's sake.

Wow, David Finch could only go THREE issues before calling in a fill-in artist? It's hard to get excited about JLA when it stars nothing but C list characters.

I find that far more entertaining than conjuring up 6 or 7 magic simultaneous hamstrings to factor in why the (real) Justice League needs to work together, when any one of them, even Batman, should be able to save the day all by hirself.

You actually need a gangbang to take the baddie down with these guys.

    Hmmm?

    Cosmic Odyssey still happened?

This version of the Martian Manhunter seems way less forgiving.

Justice League has been terrific since Lee departed...it's still astonishing to see how true that's been. I haven't any desire to pick up JLA although I did see a spoiler for today's issue on Bleeding Cool that's...rather interesting I guess.
