Paris + B'Elanna scene, absolute cop-out

The children are lizards because they were born as lizards.

Somehow making these tykes human would be perverse.

I feel confident your posts on the topic of the coffee lizard baby nebula will approach the caliber of your magnus opus, whatever that may have been.

It's true that Torres was not capable of giving consent in that state but that's not why the writers had Paris refuse.

The writers had Paris refuse because it's a TV show and thus must be held to our double standards where we pretend to be forward thinking and progressive while we're actually super-conservative and want all relationships to be 1950s-idyllic. Two people must not make love without being deeply in love and signing the appropriate liability waivers.

that's bullshit. i don't give a toss about your 1950's idyll, i just don't want a character raping another one.

I don't exactly see where it's rape when she's practically begging him on her knees and she fancies him anyway, even though it's taken her being off her head to admit it.

There was a time, lets call it the 20th century, when it was permissible for a man to keep feeding a lady drink after drink until she suggested sex or passed out which invited sex...Or died from alcohol poisoning which didn't stop some from perusing sex.

Tom was being a dick though.

B'Elanna would have died if she didn't kill someone or frakk someone.

It would have been a medicinal boff.

Vorrik's problem was that he assumed that B'Elanna would be into him once she found out that he was on the market... He couldn't anticipate or fathom why or how she could reject him?

The sexmeld is only supposed to be appplied to some girl who already wants to sex the melder.

It creates thrust not bearing.

How young was he?

T'Pol was almost 70.

He could have been deceptively... Only and Ensign?

Only an Ensign.

So does that mean Amanda had it better than Perrin? I would expect Vulcan males decline pretty dramatically once their mate has passed prime breeding stage. Because, logic.

Vulcan's are supposed to live 300 hundred years. Sarek, got a mental illness just past his 2nd century, which although his special dementia only happens to old people, what kicked his ass isn't actually an indicator of age and wear... His body could still carry through for another century while the ambassador is batshit bananapants.

You know how we, yes even women like yourself, are spammed constantly, forced to think about marrying some sexpot form the Ukraine? Imagine the 23rd, 24th century equivilent where Human girls try to find Vulcan husbands with as much subtly through a mass directmail campaign?

Mudd's Women comes to mind.
