Cyborg Superman always held a special place in my heart, if only for his bad ass appearance.

He hasn't really been an SC member since the end of the Sinestro Corps War, when he had almost achieved his wish of being destroyed (and was hoping the Anti-Monitor would do that, which was the only reason he aided Sinestro). The Manhunters saved what little was left of him (to his chagrin), and he later tried to get Nekron's attention during Blackest Night. Because Henshaw's not alive in the traditional sense, Nekron couldn't sense the Cyborg and give him the oblivion he desired. He later took control of the Alpha Lanterns in the belief that if the technology existed to create them, it could also be undone and he could return to a fallible mortal form. Ganthet seemed to think such a conversion wasn't possible, and it was implied that Boodika's psyche finally killed Henshaw for good when he tried to possess her Alpha Lantern body. He still survived somehow though.

One of the reasons I thought Superfriends was stupid is because the Atom could fly through space without a space suit. I mean, those are not so absolutely not his power set.

Last night I saw a new low on Superfriends.

Hawkman had to wear a rocket pack to fly in space.

Sure he didn't need any help to breath in space, but he was frakking lucky that his wings didn't set on fire!

Perhaps Atom was trained by Batman? He can breathe in space. ;) :D

And according to TVtropes is probably the one who really blew up the Deathstar.

No comments on Batman Inc #10? :)

This issue made me realize how much I'm going to miss Grant Morrison on Batman.

    Really.

Morrison's Batman has come up with some utterly whacked out plans over the years. I didn't think anything could possibly top the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh. (Batman's psychotic hyper-violent back-up personality in case someone tried to hack his mind.)

But turning himself into a cyborg Man-Bat (presumably wearing Azrael's Suit of Sorrows as well) to take down Talia?

    That's nuts. :)

I think this shows another problem with DC stopping shy of doing a total reboot. With them implying "The Death of Superman" is still canon, it also leads to "The Reign of the Supermen" also being in canon (though Steel got a new origin). Plus, with much of Green Lantern still canon, it'd be hard to remove Cyborg Superman completely. (As I type this, my 4 year old is on my lap and, coincidentally, keeps pestering me to post the Borg emoticon because he thinks it's "Cyborg" from Teen Titans :borg:).

I can't remember what comic it was in, but I do remember The Atom indicating that he's not really breathing oxygen when he shrinks down. Of course, at times he is seen wearing an oxygen mask, so take it with a grain of salt (there's a pun in there, somewhere).

Near as I can tell, the New 52 Death of Superman was a bare bones version of the story, probably similar to the animated movie they did a few years ago. No Steel, no Superboy, no Matrix-Supergirl, no Cyborg Superman... just him dying against Doomsday and coming back. Sounds pretty boring to me. I loved the Death & Return of Superman!

Eh, I kinda feel like Batman Inc is plodding along at this point. I'm ready for it to just be over.

I absolutely loved Batman Incorporated #10...and Morrison brought things full circle back to Batman and Son with the crazy Langstrom stuff, and as Dick said...Bruce has been forced into a literal corner by Talia. Everything has crumbled around him, his son has been taken from him...Batman is never more dangerous than when he's forced into a near impossible situation...so Batman does the impossible himself! Burnham's art is just terrific as usual...and while it does seem plodding on a bit...I've really enjoyed these last few issues of the second half after a slow start to the "second season" it has picked up big time the last several issues. Everything is coming together rather nicely.

They explained how little little little people can't breathe regular air in DS9 One Little ship, which is probably bumping around in your head too.

The first issue of the new digital only Adventures of Superman came out on Comixology today. Pretty good stuff featuring the classic Superman in his classic costume. Samnee kills it on art duties.

has much to anything been done with that relationship?

I admit I can't read Wonder Woman because it feels like glass under my finger nails, but does that make me less of a man?

Not really...depends on what you read. Lobdell has been mostly using Diana in "Superman" and she appeared in a date with Clark in "Action Comics". Bruce confronted them finally as mentioned in Justice League #19...but they've not been flaunting them in our faces, and actually have handled them pretty nicely.

You're missing out on "Wonder Woman" Guy...it's been fantastic, it's been my favourite book of the New 52...but yeah some haven't been as thrilled by it.

If it's the WW/SM relationship you're interested in, don't bother reading Wonder Woman. Azzarello is making no use or mention of the relationship. In past interviews, he's mentioned having no interest in it, and it doesn't work within his story. I wouldn't be surprised to see the relationship end with Trinity War. I shouldn't be surprised if this was the intended end all along, and thus there was no push to incorporate it in Wonder Woman.

I just finished reading Wonder Woman 07 through 11, and it's not as bad as I remember, but it's pretty clear that Azerello is miffed that he did not invent, or get to play with The Endless.

And really, how could she be marring a God while dating Superman? That's just asking for trouble!

The story feels pretty endless to me as it is. I'm sick of the parade of Amazons and god stories the book has been choking in since Jimenez and his Amazon Civil War. It was easier getting off Gilligan's Island than it's been to get Wonder Woman out of these kinds of tales.

Yeah I forgot to mention that Azzy is basically ignoring everything that is going on in the other books lol. It's basically a self contained ongoing story that is being told in "acts" it seems like. It's leading to some eventually grand end point, but I don't think anyone is really aware of what that is. Probably a potential war between the Greek Gods and the New Gods?
