the only really terrible part of it is the way Trip's death was handled. The rest of the episode is just sort of meh.
Why did you almost have to slap her? How about when he walked and always looked like he was tilted to the side. What was up with that? Oh, and BTW, TaTV sucked big donkey balls. Everyone knows that.
In your opinion. I've never seen the woman in person. But she's British, and in my opinion from ones I've known personally, condescension is a British art form, even when they're not trying to.
So you're saying that because being condescending and bitch-like came natural to her (because she is British), she should get a pass.
I never said anything about being bitchlike. But it's still bad form to slap someone across the face before you've been properly introduced.
I loathed the episode so much that in my personal "head-canon" it's just some holodeck program Riker was watching that loosely resembles ENT. I also found the focus on TNG to be insulting. It wasn't supposed to be a TNG episode, it was supposed to be ENT.
What is all this crap. I've heard rave reports about how lovely Marina was when she came out here for cons. As far as I know she doesn't have a bad reputation for how she interacts at them at all. Or is this still about the OP's venom about Marina?
You are asking the wrong person. I never used the word condescending. That was the statement of the original poster. I said condescension is a British art form. Or are you arguing just to try to stick words in people's fingers?
LOL, okay, "condescension" then. So, are you or are you not saying that because "condescension" is what you call a "British art form", Marina (or any other Brit I suppose) gets a pass (for being condescending to fans)?
What I said was Nowhere does it say anything about giving anyone a pass. I do not give a pass to someone who feels the urge to smite somewhat about the face just because they think said person is showing what they consider to be undesirable behavior. One has never been truly insulted until by the English, who veil their insults in such innocuous terms, the victim doesn't realize he was insulted until a year later.
I have to say, I'm disappointed. I was expecting a train wreck, and all I got was a fender bender. The episode is...stupid and mediocre. And it's hilarious that they thought Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis could play eleven years younger Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis. But it's not utterly terrible. It's a 4/10. You guys promised a 0!
So, is this your way of saying you aren't giving her a pass without actually coming out and admitting you aren't giving her a pass? Or are you giving her a pass? Why is it so difficult?
All right, I'm finished with your little game. I don't like being baited into an argument about something I never said.
