Just curious, when is the draft? I've never done an auction before and I'm not sure if I have time for this, but I'll think about it and get back to you.

Have not set on a firm date for draft yet, waiting to see what works best for people.

Yeah, I rejected this one, and was just about to accept Scout's offer (wanted to sleep on it), when I realized it was actually the keeper deadline...
There were a couple days I couldn't access a computer, so I missed out on this one.
I still have an excess of 3Bs however. I could use a SS (not sure about Andrelton Simmons). So, if anyone has an offer, I'll listen (and actually be online to accept it, lol).
Let me think about it, may be a way to resurrect that deal once I look over the rosters. With the obvious caveat that I'll have to add a little more now that Hanley's out for 4-8 weeks. Take a look over my roster and see if there's a reasonable Hanley + X deal that gets us there...
With the Draft this Saturday, we still need 3 more people in the league that sportzkid just signed up for. It's an auction draft, which is new for me.

OK - I'll have to think hard about this one as well. It's difficult to guess what Hanley's bat will be like after surgery on his thumb ligament...

We got a full league. Awesome. I've been doing Mock Auction drafts over the weekend because I've never done auctions before. I'm really looking forward to this. Auctions can be so unpredictable based on what I've seen. Sometimes a player only going for like a dollar is one of the first ones nominated. It's interesting the strategy that changes between Snakes and Auctions.

I was just looking at the league that just drafted tonight. It's a Roto league and not Head to Head. I've never done Roto before either so this really will be an interesting year.
Yeah. I don't mind, as it will be new but considering how long I've played fantasy baseball, I habitually thought it was Head to Head. Also, ESPN says Roto is the most standard game, yet they didn't really have a Roto 101 page to learn the rules and the scoring. They talked about it briefly but it was hard to find. I'm almost at the point where I'm learning on the fly so I might make some transactions that might be questionable. It will be fun.
Very sad. In the Keeper league, I just traded Hanley. With that, the last of my original draft keepers is now gone, dynasty has completely turned itself over. Checked my original 2007 team, and having re-drafted Buchholz, he's now the only player that is on both my 2007 and 2013 teams...
Can someone explain how roto scoring works? I'm probably going to end the day in last place, and I don't know what that means. Yeah I know it's only day one and I'm overreacting here, but it would be nice to know exactly what I'm looking for after the first week of the season. Might as well ask to see if there are those who play this format on a regular basis.
