New trailer.

No, she's only seen wearing in the Ice Warriors episode.
Again... ya sure about that? Funny, because it sure looks like she's also wearing it in this picture of her with Dougray Scott, which is from the episode immediately after the one set aboard the sub. So I guess she ISN'T only seen wearing it in the Ice Warriors episode.

That doesn't look like the same jacket from the Ice Warriors episode. There's a hood, and look at the sleeves, how they are rolled up.
Edited to add: the color is different too. In your pic, it's blue, in the submarine, it's black. And there's a collar in the submarine one, where here... it's a hood. Two different coats.
Sorry, but I'm not seeing anything resembling a hood. I see a collar laying flat over an epaulet, with Dougray Scott's shoulder in the background, and think the hood you think you see is like a cloud picture.

I think the difference in color you see is likely a matter of lighting, and not indicative of the jacket's true color. (I have a suit that appears black in most some photographs, and only rarely appears to be the navy blue that it actually is.)

Also, it is you position that if she's previously been seen with her sleeves down, and her collar up, that she cannot later wear the collar down and simply roll up those sleeves?

Follow the line of the collar back... it's a hood. And it's also a VERY different kind of collar than the black military jacket in the submarine. That one is more of a Nehru collar... this isn't like that.

Could be. But, I don't think it is. The one in your photo is blue. The other is black.

Look at the sleeves in this one. It's designed to be rolled up and then a button over it. The military jacket doesn't have a button in the middle of the sleeve.

And the buttons in your photo are different than the military jacket in the sub.

It's not the same jacket. It just isn't.

It's not the same jacket. It just isn't.

You may be right. But I don't really think so.

I think that the events of "Hide" (which I believe is the "haunted House" episode with Scott) begins almost immediately after the events of "Cold War", and Clara simply hasn't had time to change. I think that this jacket is likely to become a part of her regular wardrobe.

Again, you're probably right, but perhaps she hangs onto said jacket, and wears it in subsequent eps as well?

No, she's only seen wearing in the Ice Warriors episode.
So... you've already seen all the episodes? Ya know for a fact that she doesn't hang onto it, and never wears it again in later episodes; that she doesn't develop a general fondness for sub-jackets that mirrors Eleven's own recurring thing for fezes? Did someone in a position of authority issue a press release stating that Jenna wouldn't ever wear it again?

There are plenty of pictures of her from all episodes of the season, and the only ones of her wearing the uniform jacket are from the Ice Warriors on the sub picture.

Funny, because it sure looks like she's also wearing it in this picture of her with Dougray Scott, which is from the episode immediately after the one set aboard the sub. So I guess she ISN'T only seen wearing it in the Ice Warriors episode.

That is clearly a different jacket. Let's compare with a picture of her in the Russian jacket. As we can see, the Russian jacket is darker, has larger buttons, and is a bit too big for her, while this one seems to fit her just fine. Not to mention, each one has a different collar. Also, the jacket in your picture has a hood and no epaulets.

Found a much higher resolution version of the pic I posted of Jenna and Dougray, on the official BBC Who website, and, whadda ya know... it is a hood, and thus, not the same jacket. My bad.

There are plenty of pictures of her from all episodes of the season...
Where? Even the official site hasn't posted shots of her from every episode of the remaining season. In fact, thus far I've only seen photos from the first 4 or 5 episodes of 7b.

^^Okay, so I can't confirm anything from Episode 12 or 14. But I doubt she'll be wearing the Russian jacket in those episodes.

Anyway, for what it's worth, Blogtor Who is claiming that it is indeed David Warner in those pictures, and that they do come from the Ice Warriors episode. And based on their screen caps, it certainly does look like David Warner.

I already conceded the likelihood that I was wrong about Warner, and that I definitely was wrong about the jacket.

My fun has been effectively spoiled.

I has a sad.

:sigh:

How can she wear the same jacket in two episodes when she dies in every episode she appears in?

When I see the name "Sil", I think of H.R. Giger's exotic alien hybrid lady from "Species".

When I see the character in Orac's current avatar, I think, "D*mn! Who forgot to flush?!" :wtf:

Sincerely,

Bill
