Early UK Release For Star Trek Into Darkness

So glad that were getting it 1st wasn't the premiere to the last film in Australia hopefully were get a good prem ??? Also I've noticed that three of the actors are from the UK BC Noel Clarke and Alice Eva !!! Brilliant cant wait !!! Let the darkeness begin !!!!
Psssssttt, and Simon Pegg

It's about time: the British are forever having to wait ages for American film and TV to get across the Atlantic, so it's nice to be put first for a change.

Eh, the US are getting a celebration of Doctor Who each month for the 50th and we're getting nothing, it's like we've swapped!

Just saw an ad for the film on TV (which is quite early) - looks like Australia is getting it a week early too.

Trek 09 did badly in Germany. The TNG movies did better in Germany which indicates to me that TOS was simply not popular there whereas TNG was.

The movie 'Battleship' starring Rihanna even did better in Germany than Trek 09. Infact Battleship nearly doubled Trek 09s overseas $ !!!

The international trailers need to emphasise the action and pretend it isn't Star Trek because non English speaking countries (except Germany) can't stand Star Trek !

I know when to stay off this site. Quite a few people from across the pond in here. :)
Perhaps there should be a separate "official" early review thread that can be merged into the whole upon the movies release in the States?

Why bother? We should have a review thread as normal and just like the rest of us, Americans can join in when it is released.

I agree with the last post. Getting pretty close to movie release

Oh well, just an idea.
Yea, the problem isn't a single thread you can choose to avoid, the problem is people becoming so familiar with the movie, and having stuff seem obvious to them, and without even necessarily realizing it discussing stuff outside that/those specifically identiifed Spoiler thread(s)

So, best thing for those of us, like me, who have enough foreknowledge of the film to sate themselves (without even having watched the 9 minutes or the 38 minutes) is to bail on the whole forum once released until they see the movie

Yes, we Brits normally have to do the same. The Big Bang Theory seems the worst right now: I remember when we had just seen the first episode of Season 6, and all of the active threads were already talking about Amy getting into a fight with Wil Weaton! Then, for some reason they split the series in half, to resume in a few days, so we will only just be seeing "The Santa Simulation" at the same time as Americans are watching "The Tenure Turbulence". This is incredibly frustrating, not just because of the forum spoilers, but also because clips will already be on YouTube, and the synopsis on Wikipedia, plus reviews on any number of sites. It's as if everyone else is in a special club and you're the only one not allowed in.
