The build up to this movie apart from a couple of weeks in December seems very boring and uneventful thus far, though it is not helped by Anthony Pascale going AWOL at this critical point. Trekmovie was great last time round but this time its just dead :/

but AP is free to do what he wants this was not a dig at him! I just meant the Trekmovie coverage this time round seems to be not half as good as last time.

I think it's because Bad Robot's secrecy and the fact that AbramsTrek isn't the first new Trek thing in years. There's less to get excited about and not as much anticipation, plus Paramount seems to be really holding back on the goods for STID and the game (which I realized is being released like a week before I graduate college and only a few weeks before the movie), but that might just be a response to high profile flops in recent years. Lesser hype = lesser backlash, I guess.

I think they had to build momentum last time around. No one went to see Nemesis, and they hadn't had a movie in 6 1/2 years. So Paramount probably let more slip.
