I think the big question is do fan WANT her back? Her Storm has never been that popular with many fans.

However, it would be bizarre to recast her when they are planning to bring back so many same actors from the trilogy to reprise their roles.

It would be bizarre to recast her for the future part since they could just kill her off off screen. However, I could see picking someone else to be young Storm if they want to go down that route.

They will probably just kill her off camera. That is how most of the team died in the original story. Its hard to know how big the roles of the original cast will be. But I am guessing the First Class cast gets at lest equal or greater screen time.

Doesn't sound like she's "being shut out" at all. There could be many reasons why she may not be involved. From availability and prior commitments, to just not having a place for her in the story, to just having too large of a cast already.

He's going to "fix" Last Stand only so it makes sense to not ignore it when the giant box set is produced later. They got a lot of Last Stand copies occupying good warehouse space they need to move out.
