It's a goddamned leotard, just like every other superhero wears.
Yeah, but they all have pants/leggings. Which goes to the absurdity and ("sexism") of the costume, that she feels the need to put her boobs, ass and legs "out there."
All I know is that in the 70's, I grabbed those All Star Comics right off the rack.

Robin and Aqualad have been wearing trousers for years haven't they? I don't the hotpants version of Robin existed in any form in the new 52 - I remember a flashback where we see a version of it but it has trousers.

I've always enjoyed the joke where Power Girl is concerned - that in a world dominated by exhibitionists with extreme physiques, there's still at least one whose appearance creates issues for herself and others.

Has she ever put anyone's eye out or knocked anyone over by turning around too suddenly? I googled images of Power Girl and Goodness, that girl has gotta have an awfully strong back to be able to hold those up.Has anyone ever called her "Boob Girl"?
And if that suit isn't Industrial Strength, she could give herself a concussion or at least a black eye from running.

Well, she's a Kryptonian under a yellow sun presumably using Kryptonoian, or Kryptonian inspired, materials so I think she's fine as far as all of that is concerned.
There was an issue where she claimed the "boob window" was there because she couldn't think of a symbol to put on her chest like Superman had, so she left the area blank.
Um... Yeah, sure.
