DC's New 52: Reviews and Discussion (Spoilers welcolme and likely)

I was reading Sword of Sorcery, is it going to finish out it's arc?

Firestorm is overdue and I wasn't reading the others.

And Guy is right, Aquaman has been cool since easily 1994. People still holding to the seahorse riding mockery of late 70's/early 80s Superfriends cartoons need to revisit the character.

Was reading Firestorm, Sword & Sorcery and Team 7. Dont think Sword was given a big enough chance to catch on but than a book about a teenage girl is hardly going to draw big sales anyway. Firestorm has been a disaster since they got rid of Stein and turned Ronnie from a hero into a jerk. Team 7 was just blah, nothing to excite the senses there and it will not be missed.

Firestorm is another character that could have really had a shot in the DCU and fell flat on its face.

When I first started reading comics in the seventies, Aquaman was a badass environmentalist. Somewhere down the road he got depowered somewhat. The problem I had with the nineties version was that DC tried to make him too much like Namor from Marvel, and that really isn't what he is. I really like the new take and his feelings of wanting to belong to a nation or a culture but the culture not wanting him. I think that has a real sense of modernity in our global but regional society--and it gives him a real sense of angst without turning him into a brooding and dark character.

Bleeding Cool has them all up. I can't wait for the Batman Incorporated finale. I have a very bad feeling about Damian though :(

Dude, learn to multi-quote and/or to edit previous posts.

Anyway. I've been trying to go back and collect issues of Superboy and Justice League and their issus dealing with the current arcs. (H'El on Earth and Throne of Atlantis, respectively.)

LOL--yeah, got a little overexcited there, didn't I?

EDIT: I know how to multi-quote, but not on after my third rum and coke on a Friday night--he he.

Enjoyed both Earth2 and Phantom Stranger this week. Also really liked the story in Injustice Gods Among us, the art not so much.
