Abrams turns Star Wars because of his "loyalty" to Trek

I know that was a jab at me, and not a very accurate one, but I'll explain the comment just for the heck of it. Zachary Quintos is a bad actor, and combine that with bad writing, made him an emo crybaby. Spock spent all of the movie being an overly emotional idiot. He shot Kirk out of the Enterprise when they disagreed. Even in the abrams universe, where everyone is an idiot, that would probably be grounds for court martial. The ship has a brig. You don't eject insubordinate crewmen onto a random ice planet to get killed (I would bet he had no idea about the federation base, or didn't care, because he sure didn't do anything to alert the base or put Kirk anywhere near it, or even tell Kirk there was a base and where it was, which atleast would have made his actions only idiotic, not attempted murder). He then got together with the obnoxious, annoying, a-hole communications officer (I really hate her, although not quite as much as Quintos). He completely freaked out and lost all control. I don't care if his planet/mother died, even a half vulcan wouldn't start acting like a psycopath. Would Nimoy's Spock have been emotional about that stuff? Probably, but he wouldn't have started banging Uhura or trying to kill people who annoy him.
But, she didn't kiss him until after what happened, and by that time he was in full crybaby mode, abandoning the pretense of being vulcan entirely. Before that, being friends would make more sense. Although, with this being S%$t Trek, I'm willing to believe that they'd be stupid enough to have Spock acting like an overemotional crybaby before Vulcan was gone, but I just don't see evidence of him banging Uhura before Vulcan was destroyed.
How you could watch that film and take that message from it... Did you need them to have sex on the bridge while the crew watched to confirm it?
Do you think that him acknowledging that her expertise would be needed on the enterprise was enough proof that he muist be banging her, and isn't just a friend that knows she's good? Don't get me wrong, shes a gigantic ass so personally I would have loved to have seen her blown up, but from the movie's perspective, she's supposed to be a very good communications officer. Spock, probably having been a tutor to her and a friend, decided that she would fit on the Enterprise, so he switched her assignment. Not because he was banging her and was giving in to his girlfriend, but because she'd be an asset.

You really didn't get it. They were in a relationship. They weren't just friends. Perhaps the moment was to subtle for you. But everyone else seemed to get it.

I'm not a film buff, but I've seen hundreds of movies (I know because I like using criticker.com to rate and keep track of them, and I'm at 441 movies rated right now). It is the worst, although there is one or two that come close.
Also, its fine if you think they were banging before vulcan was destroyed. I don't, and since this movie is as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face (which is also what watching this movie feels like) I don't think I missed anything.
I've seen it three horrifying times. They obviously started banging eventually. After Vulcan blew up. To me it was pretty obvious that they weren't doing anything before that. In the end, it doesn't really matter. Its like debating which part of a pile of manure smells the worst. In the end, its still a pile of s%$t.

If it was REALLY that bad, why did you see it TWO more times after the first? I don't get that.

Please, for the love of god, go watch some truly bad movies like Manos the Hands of Fate, or Plan 9 from Outer Space before you sit there, and claim that this is the worst movie you have ever seen. That kind of hyperbole is why you get the reaction you do from the rest of us.
I feel safe in saying that Star Trek is objectively not the worst movie ever made.
I saw it in theaters. I was kind of in shock about how bad it was. when it came out on DVD, I got it to see if time would make it seem better. It didn't. Then, I saw it a third time months after that. I kept trying to give it a chance. Since I've seen even TMP, Final Frontier and Insurrection multiple times, I wanted to see if any part of it would grow on me. It didn't. I bet that I'll see TMP, FF and Insurrection again sometime. I doubt I'll watch S&^t Trek again. That said, I will see Into Darkness atleast once. I won't see it in theaters or buy it (these horrble movies won't be getting my money again) but when it comes to DVD and the library gets it, I'll watch it, if just to see if abrams was able to make a movie worst than the first one.

Why? Why see something that you are pretty sure you are going to hate? Why waste the time? Why waste the emotional energy? Is it so you can hop on the internet and hate it? WHY?
I don't understand the point of seeing something you hate.
