I think a good sequel in the form of a comic book or novel, would be the story of what happened after Walter and Michael entered the shipping lane, from Walter's perspective.

Maybe somewhere we will have the adventures of Walter and Michael.

I know they discussed continuing Fringe in comic book form if the show got canceled last season. Here's hoping they go ahead with those plans. I've enjoyed the Smallville Season 11 comic for instance.

These chats have definitely been fun. You've done a great job, Proc. I'm just sorry that yet another great show is over and another chat thread is finished.

Maybe they will meet the Doctor and talk about a fixed point in time.

^ Thanks for hosting so many of these, it's been fun.

It's been my pleasure, one I'm definitely going to miss. I've got my DVDs, but it's not the same as watching live and commentating you guys.

And I certainly will miss trading puns with you, Mr. A!

:techman:

I know it's a bit cliche, but I am reminded of Tennyson's Ulysses:

Death closes all: but something ere the end,
Some work of noble note, may yet be done,
Not unbecoming of men who strove with Gods.
... and tho'
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Goodbye Fringe, see you in Valhalla.

We never did find out why Michael got off of that train.

It was part of the plan.

Yeah, and people wonder why I don' enjoy the show as much as before.

Nor did we find out why the Baldies decided to invade in 2015. Any show will always have some loose ends.

Lord knows Lost set the record for bringing things up and never properly following up on them.

Definitely Lost. They admitted as much. BSG too and I love that show as well. The producers admitted on a BSG commentary track that "and they have a plan" was added because it sounds cool. BRILLANT!

It was mentioned in a previous episode that they picked 2015 because that was the moment in history where they had the highest probability of success (something like 99.9999%.)

I still want a clearer explanation of why wiping out the Observers didn't alter the timeline at the point where September distracts Walternate - why do the effects ripple forward from 2015 only?

They almost answered the 2015 question, the original 12 were set back to look for certain things, and it turns out that 2015 we would have reached a good point to invade.

Still doesn't make any sense to why bother invading.

To be fair SyFy wanted the "And they have a plan..." on BSG. That was planned out more than seasons 3 and 4.
