An OT question: does Linux recognize Zip drives?
Win7 does not and I have a dozen or so Zip disks I want to check for content. The drive is in my machine from the XP days & BIOS recognizes it.

Not out of the box, fix for IDE drives:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/IomegaZIPDrive
And one for parallel port drives.
Win7 does not seem to support the zip drive at all.
It's an IDE. Will that fix work if I'm running Ubuntu from a CD?
Windows: XP, 7, and Zune (if that's a real OS)
Apple: iOS on the phone and the wife's iPad
Android: on my Nexus 7
