Should be the kill line that Kirk says to Harrison at the end of the movie like a terrible 80's action flick.

Perhaps, but if they managed to find a way to reference Enterprise, then referencing something that's actually from a TOS era film but adopted by TNG fans shouldn't be too difficult.

Also, while I do associate the main theme that plays during the opening more with TNG than TMP, the slower version "The Enterprise" from the TMP OST still brings me right back to TOS-era Trek.

For me while I love the TMP onward Goldsmith score I would rather they stick with and continue to evolve the TOS inspired music from the first film. Allow these films to build their own identity musically from the original.

It didnt hurt the Dark Knight films to not use the Burton/Schumacer film score even in the slightest, and for me I dont want to see a rendition of the TMP fanfare as it already seemed a bit much in the recent Phase II show reel.

Well it wouldn't have made any sense in the Dark Knight films anyway, but it would make sense here.

Whats the difference? the Batman theme from the original 4 Batman films is as much the theme from Batman as the Adam West shows and the score from TMP/TNG is for Trek, why is one more valid than the other?

A character should wack their forehead while going through a doorway.

The Enterprise fires phasers at an asteroid. (cover of The Art of Star Trek).

    Hikaru: "Don't call me tiny."

Pavel: "Name: Pavel Chekov. Rank: Admiral."

Jim: "What did you tell him he has?"
    Bones: "Cramps."

    Jim: "What was the trouble?"
    Bones: "Shore leave."

    Scotty: "There'd be whales here!"

I always thought Kirk whacking his head on the girder in the shuttlecraft was a callback to that.

    Another one wouldn't mind seeing...

Kirk: *Vulcan Salute* How many fingers am I holding up?
McCoy: That's not very damn funny.

I want Carol Marcus to say, "I don't understand all this. Who is Khan?" Even though, the villain is likely NOT KHAN.

I'd like to see the Earth Spacedock as featured in TSFS, TVH, TFF & TUC & some TNG episodes.

After the crew gets rid of John Harrison they should go to Risa.
There Kirk should pay homage to this

If John Harrison winds up being tied to Khan in some way, I wouldn't mind seeing some mentions like:

    -Arik Soong
    -Malik and the augments
    -Cold Station 12
    -The Borderlands
    -Klingon augment virus
    -Stavos Keniclius
    -USS Reliant
    -Clark Terrell

    Other things:
    -Section 31

I don't really want any section 31 stuff, I'm a huge DS9 fan but I think they went unknown for so long for a reason.

Thing is, the comics have introduced a group of shady Starfleet officers who could be them.

I wouldn't mind the Section 31 stuff, if done right. They went unnoticed for a long time in the prime universe, sure, but this is a different beast, and who's to say they don't get exposed a good 100+ years before they did in the prime universe?

I'm not one who is dying to see tons of "augments" references -- Enterprise was fun enough and, yes, I guess it's still official chronology since it precedes the reboot timeline, but an offhanded reference or two would do it for me. Refer to "augments" and maybe Keniculus (I'd much prefer a TAS reference or two than Enterprise), and then move on. Given the style of the references in the 2009 film (Archer's beagle, Cardassian drink, etc.), I wouldn't expect much more than this.

That's fine really, but I think it should be DS9 only who knows about them. I like some ideas like Pegasus/Admiral Locke being involved with them, but it starts to get ridiculous when almost every dodgy thing Starfleet has done is S31. Only reason DS9 knew them was Bashir.
