Cumberbatch starting Into Darkness PR tour?

The new issue of Japan's Movie Star Magazine has tweets saying that Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the unknown villian in "Star Trek Into Darkness", is headed to Japan on December 3rd, to begin a public relations campaign for the film.

If this is true, he HAS to reveal the name of his character in the film... right?

Even if I'm imagining that, the simple fact is that a PR tour for STiD really doesn't make sense at this time; it's far too early yet. In February or March, yes, in April certainly, but not now.

Yes. They were even warned by Bad Robot to stop doing that from the rumor of Quinto leaving Star Trek.
