So I take it there won't be a proper wrap-up then?

So did they always have a plan to wrap up the show even before it was cancelled? Or was it going to have a different story arc for Season 2 if it got one?
I remember when the networks would sometimes change a show's time slot if it wasn't getting high enough ratings. I wish they had tried that. I watch The Big Bang Theory on Thursdays at 8 so I watch Last Resort on demand.
Seems to be that way now-a-days. Kind of sad. But to be fair, I was starting to lose interest in it myself, so I can understand why it was losing viewers. They've just kind of been spinning their tires for the past couple eps now and I think a lot of people have recognized that.
That's pretty much true though the CW does seem to keep struggling shows on the air longer. Unless they tank realy fast they tend to keep a new show around for a full season. As a smaller network they order less series so they have very little in the way of mid-season replacements. The show had it's flaws, but every show does when they are starting up.
Is network television so competitive these days that if a series doesn't succeed right out of the gate, they're done?
“We have time to tweak,” confirms Last Resort creator Shawn Ryan, adding that Episode 13 will indeed function as a full-fledged series finale.
