Star Wars The Clone Wars Season Five News and Discussion

Was this our first visit to Illum since the micro-series? I enjoyed the episode, a nice breather after the heavy, arguably just-too-long Ondaran opener.

I enjoyed the Ilum episode.

Fitting that the younglings exhibited character flaws that they needed to overcome to mature.

As to the child endangerment issue that some have raised: meh. The lightsaber is a weapon; danger is part of being a Jedi. Besides, Master Yoda seemed to have a sense of what was up, and I'm willing to assume he had a responsible sense of how ready and able the younglings were to face the test.

There were two Jedi, K'Kruhk and T'ra Saa, who fought in The Clone Wars, and then survived all the way into the Legacy comics set 100+ years after return of the Jedi.

Rahm Kota survived too, though presumably not 100+ years.

"The Gathering" was a pretty good episode, but a little too rushed. Definitely should have been a four parter.

I'm starting to wonder if they've moved exclusively to 4-part story arcs. Maybe the plan is to package them as movies for DVD release, kind of like what Lucas did with Young Indiana Jones.

I'm trying to figure put of "Huyang" is some pun (young Who?). They didn't go with D-R-Ten-N or the like at least.

Really enjoyed this episode. Lots of good stuff with the younglings and Ahsoka, and David Tennant's character was fun. I'm a big Hondo fan, so I really enjoyed his stuff too.

Enjoyable episode though what did it have to do with the Clone Wars exactly? Whatever...I liked it so so what. :D Hondo is a cool/fun bad guy. David Tennant's character was awesome. And this season seems to be the season of Asoka. So far she's been involved in every episode in a fairly big way (I don't think she was in the season premiere though).

I am just curious. Does the canon or non canon books mention anything about Ahsoka Tano's death? She was Anakin's Padawan after all.
