I thought you guys would appreciate a Starship-based Rogue-like... which is really a genre I don't think I've ever heard of before.
Faster Than Light.
Trailer: http://vimeo.com/47066972
You basically control a Starship and you are trying to make it through the galaxy in order to defeat the the rebels. But rather than be a space simulator, you micromanage your crew and your ship's systems via an overhead interface.
There's something about it that is highly addictive. I mean, it's not like this is an entirely new concept - even ST:O has Starship management after all - but it's just presented in such a simple manner that you can just focus all your attention on the micromanaging instead of being distracted by everything else.
The fact that it's a rogue-like - meaning you can't save and that everything is randomized every time you play - just makes it infinitely replayable as well.
And hey, it's only 9 bucks!
