Your latest purchases, cont.

I watch a ton of TV but most shows I don't care if I end up missing. It's mostly just something to have on in the background. I remember back when I had a million things on the air and recording and I told my husband that the only one I really looked forward to was Downton Abbey. I'm a huge fan of period dramas though. I think Mad Men makes it into that category too, actually.
I watch most of the shows from DVDs these days. I have to admit that I have quite a few Tv-show boxes still that I have not watched yet. I am currently finishing Quantum Leap - The Ultimate Collection..such a good show:cool:
I like Mad Men also:)

And since this is a shopping thread, I got this via mail today:

A little takeout breakfast along with a couple of bags of snacks and groceries for the weekend.

I went into this junk-store (whatdoyoucallem: dollar-stores?) to see if I could find a cat-toy... They didn't have anything interesting in way of cat-toys though but I did find a laser-pointer -that's the best cat-toy :)
(I just hate that it's cheaper to buy new pointers than to buy batteries for your old ones.)

^^ I had managed to collect the entire 10 seasons of SG-1, the two movies, and the 1st, 2nd, and 5th seasons of Atlantis up until last year. I was irritated that each had been re-released at maybe half what I originally paid, and instead of being in the five-case sets, they were all seasons in one single snapcase. On top of this, every episode of each series was available on Netflix streaming, so I sold off the entire collection (except for The Ark of Truth - for some reason I forgot it that day) ... lo and behold, Netflix lost their license to show Stargate!

Yeah, I do wish we had the slimmer sets but I'm happy that we collected all of them. For me that was how I saw the series, through DVD. I have had moments where I've regretted purchases as entire series become available on Netflix, but then so many of them get taken away that I don't think I really regret any purchases anymore. I do miss the convenience of streaming them though!

I was on our autumn shopping-trip to Germany with my parents today. Bought several bottles of rum, some mixers and liqueurs, loads of things to nibble while having cocktails, some delicatessen, more liquor, veterinarian medicine, beer, bitters, sweets... basically anything that's cheaper in Germany than here in Denmark

Some snacks and groceries for the next couple of days along with some gas. I also picked up an action figure I wanted from the local toy and collectibles shop.
