Nope, not surprised at all given the general lack of coordination and inconsistency. Scott I don't think has addressed the Warren problem at all during any of this, you think he would, especially when he made his visit to the school.

If I recall correctly, Warren decided in one of the Wolverine and the X-Men tie-in issues that he was placing his trust in Bobby Drake, and thus went to war for the side Bobby chose. If I have time tomorrow, I'll try to look through the applicable issues and find the relevant exchange.

Oh yeah, why didn't God-clops cure Warren? And cure Rogue's uncontrolled power? And kill Kid Apocalypse?

Possibly because Scott doesn't know about Warren, or Evan. Regarding Warren...as of today's Wolverine and the X-Men #15, he is the school's first graduate, and yes he's still memory wiped. There are actually a lot of issues Scott hasn't addressed because he's been Phoenix corrupted ;) Like the biggest one of all...restarting the mutant race maybe!

And has had control of them for a while now I believe. At least since prior to Schism.

Okay, my memory was off on the Angel situation.

At the end of Wolverine and the X-Men #10, after Scott, Emma, and Magik have visited the Jean Grey School so that Scott could speak to Wolverine and attempt to recruit other X-Men to his side, Bobby and Rachel decided to leave the school. Angel decided to leave with them.

(* This lie was to Kid Apocalypse, who had asked Angel what he sees when he looks at him. The art shows an older version of Kid, who looks nearly identical to Apocalypse himself. Angel, however, says that he sees "only goodness" in Kid Apocalypse.)

Oh yeah, have they addressed whether the Phoenix Five have tried to recreate mutancy or not???? That should be their first priority!!!

No they have not. Which has been my biggest problem with the series so far, and part of the absolute power corrupts absolutely theme they've been exploring. They've been rebuilding the world and enforcing peace while searching for Hope...whom of course is the key to Scott's plan of restoring the mutant species. So while they've been trying...they've been distracted by other agendas as well.

Even though it's been quite inconsinsent, I still enjoy the general idea of the event. And there are issues that really stand out in quality. Unfortunately that quality can't carry over from issue to issue.

Still, I'm glad it was an event I got to participate in, and next time I'll know to grab the tie-in issues and crosso-overs to.

Unfortunately there are about two issues off the top of my head that were really fantastic, and both those issues were written by Hickman. I find myself being as disappointed in this as I was with last year's Fear Itself which was just plain awful.

I agree these past couple of "major" storylines were really a mess. I mean Civil War was a mess too, but at least you had an underlying 'issue' but with AvsX and Fear Itself before it, there's just so much going on so quickly that it's just a real headache to follow along with.

I mean Heroic Age was supposedly a 'break' time -but I think it should have lasted longer. Or they really need to stop doing these year long cross over stories. Just do an event, have it last maybe 2-3 months and deal with it.

I know I haven't been reading it, so I can't judge the actual quality, but when I heard it was 12 issues I was shocked. That just seems like a lot of issues to stretch out one storyline.

I've really liked AVSX and I think it was an interesting story that was an organic evolution of the past decade of stories. Fear Itself on the other hand was a completely waste of time, with a story that literally came out of nowhere.

The frustrating thing with Avengers Vs X-Men was that it has been an organic storyline stemming from years worth of storylines, but the execution of that story has been incredibly flawed due to the inconsistent writing and seemingly lack of communication and coordination between all the writers of the book. It might have seemed great on paper for all the Architect's to be writing this, but to me this has been one of the biggest messes. Too many voices all trying to add their own mark on the book when there should only be one or two. Frankly if anything Jason Aaron, Kieron Gillen, and Brian Bendis should be the only writers involved in the book, since they're the main Avengers/X-Men writers. No one else.

It's because they work from home, in different parts of 'the country' and even the world.

It's not the good old days when everyone had to wear a suit and had to go into the office.

Although, i suppose those retreats they go on could last longer.

    Failing that.

Maybe we could raise all the young writers in kennels from now on to teach them good habbits?

There's an even bigger spoiler from the issue that got a holy shit reaction from me that I won't post. I suspect we're going to be talking about it for a while.
