Monday is my favorite day. I know this is a rare opinion, as Monday tends to be the least favorite day for a lot of people. Start of the work week, having to wake up early, etc.

But for me, Monday is awesome.

After working until 4am every Saturday, and then having to be back at work during the afternoon/evening on Sunday, I usually crash by 8-9pm Sunday night from overwhelming exhaustion. This results in me getting a great night's sleep and waking up very early Monday morning, which is also my day off. I feel well-rested, and I'm always super productive. It's 10am, and I've already made breakfast, gone grocery shopping, watched an episode of The X-Files, and started cooking a pot roast for dinner tonight.

What is your favorite day of the week, and why?

Saturday.

It's the end of my workweek, which means that while church starts at 745 on Sunday morning, I always have the option to go home afterward and sleep. This means I can stay out later, and get more done.

This last Saturday, for instance, I left work at 5pm, picked up my dry cleaning, went to Staples to renew my Norton 360 subscription for another year, filled the gas tank on my car, and then went to a meeting of the United Federation of Phoenix. It was about 130am when I got to bed.

Every day is pretty awesome. Tuesdays and Thursdays are climbing days, Friday - Sunday are always good, and I don't want to hurt Monday or Wednesday's feelings, so...

Tuesday. It's my day off so I can sleep in and kinda plan my day however I see fit. I also don't work on Wednesdays so I don't have to worry about getting up early the next morning. I guess my feelings for Tuesdays must be how most feel about their Saturdays.

I don't really have a favourite day of the week (I don't have a regular work schedule) but I do prefer weekdays to weekends generally as the markets are open so there's more interesting stuff going on.

This - But I also like Sundays very much because they tend to be more quiet... especially felt if you live downtown ;)

Fridays are the best

I love the feeling of not having anything to do for the next two days, and the freedom to do/go wherever I want without worrying about having to be at school/job

Markets as in stores? Or like...the stock market? Because I'd hate to live in a place where stores were closed on the weekends! Hell, I hate that some stores aren't open 24-hours (though most are now, so that's awesome).

When I typed it, I meant stock market, but trekkiedane & your comment have made me realise I like the other interpretation too. We don't have as many traditional markets as the Continent still does, but I still like pottering around the occasional ones we do have.

In terms of normal shops here, of course they generally open 7 days a week in this day and age, though with legally-restricted hours on Sunday. When I was growing up (not all that long ago, I promise!), not only was there no Sunday opening but Saturday hours were somewhat limited and quite a few places closed early on Wednesday afternoon (making up for it with extended hours on Thursday evening). Things have changed a lot since then; we're a much more customer-orientated retail society nowadays.

Friday night arrives without a suitcase.
Sunday morning creeping like a nun.
Monday's child has learned to tie his bootlace.
Tuesday afternoon is never ending.
Wednesday morning papers didn't come.
Thursday night your stockings needed mending.

Yeah, they pretty much all suck.

As a Monday-Friday worker, I tend to think of Friday as the best day. Yes, I still have to work, but the promise of the impending weekend makes it all better. No matter how bad the day is, Friday helps you shake it off and focus on the weekend. Saturdays are nice, but lack the promise of Fridays. Sundays are "last minute, get everything you wanted to done before the week begins" days. And since it's a "school night" to boot.

Tuesdays are my least favorite day. Mondays are tough, no doubt, but Tuesdays are no better and no one has the "Monday Excuse" (otherwise known as "Having a case of the Mondays"). People cut you slack on Mondays, not so much on Tuesdays. By Tuesday either you have your act together or face the wrath of those around you.

As bad as Tuesdays are, though, I never could get the hang of Thursdays.

Saturdays without question. It's the day most of my friends are free and available to do things like eat dinner and hang out.

Same question?
