It's always nice to see more from Harry Dean Stanton, but that scene was wisely cut. The movie doesn't need it.

So the entire movie, the gag reel, the deleted scenes and the new short Item 47 are leaking all over the Internet...

Think Disney will go on a rampage...

Don't worry guys, TA will sell very well on video no matter what.

Also stop watching the deleted scenes and everything online! Why are you spoiling yourself before getting it on video? :p

For the same reason I like to spoil myself when I sneak a bit of frosting off the cake when no one is looking. It's yummy and if Mom has a problem with it, she damn well should be paying more attention!

I still eat the cake when it's sliced, though.

Did you guys see this news yet?

The briefcase mega blu-ray set might now be delayed/cancelled

It looks like there's a lawsuit being filed against Marvel for the design of the briefcase being used for the Phase One blu-ray set...
I dont know if the sets will be withdrawn, but any that survive are gonna be huge collectors items.

Why didn't Marvel just go with a generic briefcase design? Will those people that preordered the set be getting a VERY limited set that will never be released ever again, or will their entire order simply be cancelled?

Saw it, and it seemed it wasn't affecting the release... until today.

- Amazon has stopped taking preorders and it has the item under review
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083SBMGW

- Disney removed the briefcase pictures from its site and modified the description:
http://www.phase1avengersassembled.com/detail_1100660__AVENGERS.html
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=198188&page=27

I know for sure that this Disney page had the briefcase image on it, and now it's also been replaced with a placeholder image

Notice anything missing from the description?

I've got the set preordered and paid off at Moviestop, after reading the thread I just called them and was told they received a e-mail from Disney saying that this will not be released on 25 September, the e-mail said it may be released at a later time. At the moment they are checking to see if they can return the movies that were traded in for all those who preordered the set.

However since this is the UK version, Avengers is annoyingly called Avengers Assemble though.

Well, you gotta excuse the British for having something else called the Avengers that predates Marvel's super team.

Yeah, except that wasn't an issue here in the U.S. The 1998 Ralph Fiennes movie based on the British spy series was also called The Avengers and everyone is expected to know the difference. Although, in some circles, the new 2012 movie is called Marvel's The Avengers.

Regardless, it's not the first time that two completely different movies have shared the same title. Gladiator was the name for both a movie about ancient Roman gladiators starring Russell Crowe and a boxing movie starring Cuba Gooding Jr. Notorious was the name of both an Alfred Hitchcock thriller and a biopic about rapper Notorious B.I.G. Jack & Jill was the title of both a recent Adam Sandler comedy and a short-lived TV series on the WB starring Amanda Peet.
