Hi I have a quick question. A while ago I remember reading that orci said that the star trek 2 trailer is comming out soon. But that was awhile ago and there is still no new trailer. So I was wondering when everyone thinks it will come out? I have heard some people think it will come with the new james bond movie but what does everyone here think?

I think it'll be soon.
And honestly, I had no idea there was a new James Bond movie until I saw a commercial the other day, which is how I imagine most of the world is going to find out about the new Trek movie as well.
They have made a movie, right? I ask because - aside from a couple of photos of actors in costume - there really hasn't been a shred of anything seen. I know how much they wanted to get everything spot on with the sequel. So is it possible that for all their efforts they couldn't attain the perfection they desired? The clock kept ticking down and JJ and co sat huddled in secrecy, looking at each other in disbelief knowing they haven't even started!

I assume the game will come out before the trailer.
The game should be out a little before the movie hits theaters, but I think not by more than two or three months. If the game is a tie-in to the movie, you won't want their respective releases to be staggered too widely.
Nine months is too soon to start spending any serious money on marketing. Do you want them to blow the budget before its effective? The window for effective marketing is a couple months before release, with most of it hitting fairly close to release.
What we've seen to date, the gossip and set photos, is just the no-cost, who-cares kind of playing around marketing that most of the audience never hears about or cares about. None of us should want them to start spending serious money for several months, not if we want this movie to be another success.

I dreamt I saw the trailer last night. There was a run-down barn in it.
A can see a Teaser Trailer (a generic trailer with little or no actual movie footage) coming out duringthe big Christmas holiday season films -- maybe around Thanksgiving...
but no "real" theatrical trailer (with film footage) until next year --maybe to be shown during the Super Bowl, and released in theaters about the same time?
