New Series Seven Trailer!

The trailer says Autumn 2012 for the premiere, isn't that September 1 up there in the northern hemisphere?

Technically, it's September 22nd. But Doctor Who frequently gets technical details wrong anyway.

Love the last two lines as well- "Who killed all the Daleks?" "Who d'you think?"
Yes, it's great when the Doctor boasts like a genocidal yob. I hope he regenerates into Vinnie Jones.

Isn't it pretty obvious that the answer to that question isn't going to be "me"?
It'd go against every fibre of new Who if that were the case.

Other lowlight I recall (don't want to see it again):
We've got an episode called Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. Chibnall trying to Doctor Who Snakes on a Plane like he tried to do 24 with 42. The worst bit is, soon as we knew the title, anyone switched on knew one of the characters would say "It's dinosaurs! On a spaceship!" like a complete bellend. And they even stick it in the trailer. Useless. We've also got Amy's "Och aye, don't be silly, Ah'm not scared of some wee bins!" to remove some tension. It'll have some way to go to outdismal series 6, but it's showing signs it may just have it in it.

Looks like an awesome plate of succulent medium rare fanwank to me. Count me absolutely in.

Isn't there usually a detailed spoilerific scene by scene analysis on here by now though. Is someone not paying attention. Screengrabs people! Screengrabs.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't see anything that looked to be from episode 4...

That'd be the one that they were doing a second round of reshoots for only a couple of weeks ago, months after KG & AD had thought they'd left the show.

(And it's a Chibnall script too!)

I'm mostly curious about why Amy doesn't seem confused when the Doctor mentions the Master.... I don't recall him ever mentioning him to her before. So shouldn't she be wondering why he's calling up the Master?

In fact, has the Master been mentioned at ALL since Moffat began? If not, this really makes it stand out more and makes me wonder why he's suddenly mentioning him after all this time....

It did seem a little out of the blue, but he is his arch enemy after all. Plus is it from the western ep? If so Moffat hasn't written that one, has he?

Nice to see him brought up. Wouldn't surprise me if maybe we'll get a few mentions in prep for a possible anniversary return?
