I e-mailed two days ago and still haven't had a reply. If I don't have one by tomorrow, I'll mail again.

BTW, I'm not waiting for a UK replacement program, I'll try to get them from the states.

Well It might work. Someone on Amazon from Ireland says he has contacted the American hotline and is getting replacements. I would rather wait though I think for the UK program.

I just spoke with delux on the phone, the woman was very helpful. She said the discs would be sent out in 5 business days. They need the number on the back of the disc that starts with SL. I will post again once I get them. I am in NYC so it could take awhile:p

I'm a bit annoyed that they didn't reply to my first mail. Even if I'm not elligble, the least they could do is e-mail me and tell me.

I'm just watching the binar episode right now (I've got a 5.1 system that allows me to matrix different environments) and I've been switching between stereo and the different 5.1 matrices (including DTS regular) and I haven't heard any problems.

Unless you've skipped the pilot Encounter at Farpoint, the audio problems are almost impossible to miss. The main problem is that the dialogue from the center channel has been mixed into the front left and front right channel as well (on 7 episodes). So some episodes sound normal, others have have an echo or sound "tinny", or in the case of EaF the dialogue seems to come from the right speaker.

Meanwhile, I've had a reply from Paramount Home Entertainment. Even though I've made it clear I'm from Europe, it doesn't seem to be a problem for them. They've asked for my address and the SL number and they'll send me the replacement discs after the 10th.

Amazon UK have pulled this now they have note up saying item under review.

I have emailed them now, I am disappointed that there has been no UK/European announcement from CBS so far.

    Hi there.

Just been following the news on the trek sites in regards to the Disc Replacement programme. I am from the UK and still awaiting word about the European disc replacement announcement.

I emailed the address for the discs enquiring about the UK but all I got was information on how to proceed. Trekcore told me there is something being worked out for European programme. But not sure whether to go ahead and reply to email or hold off for the European announcement.

I have emailed them again to let them know I am from the UK, so far no reply.

I am in no rush but I do want to make sure I get these replacement discs.

What is the best thing to do here?

Also been informed that the discs are not region free. America is A but UK and Europe is B.

I have been told from Trekcore that he has been assured that a European programme is being worked out and startrek.com stated info is forthcoming so prob be best to wait.

I just dont want to miss out on getting replacements.

Anyone outside US who called the number get any info about this?

May I ask what you are doing? Are you doing to send off to America or hold off for the UK/European announcement?

I emailed them this morning. Don't know exactly what to do, I would rather there was an official UK program in place though.

I got my reply on Wed evening and have since emailed the contact to see if I qualify by being in UK.

I want to reply but dont know whether to reply to it or hold off till European replacement is announced.

What you leaning towards more now?

Hmm, this is starting to worry me a little now. If there's a British/European replacement program in the works, why not publish a short statement to reassure patrons - even if it's going to take a wee while longer in the EU (which I suspect is likely).

Why are you people waiting for a European disc replacement program? I'm from Holland and bought my set in the UK. I mailed the people at CBS and they treated me just like any other customer. They just asked me for my address and the SL number and I'm reasonably sure I'll be getting my replacement discs.

Here's why you shouldn't wait for a UK replacement program:

    1. The discs are region ABC or "free". The US release is identical to the UK, Japanese, German or Dutch release. (Only the disc art will probably be different, but I don't care.)
    2. The US replacement program is free of costs. You don't have to pay any shipping costs.
    3. The US replacement program doesn't require you to send in your old discs. Just give the SL number and you'll get discs 1, 3 and 4 send to you and you can keep you old discs.
    4. The US replacement discs will be ready next week and will probably start shipping the week after.
    5. CBS will apparently ship overseas.
    6. If it turns our that non US customers aren't elligble, you will have lost nothing and can always wait for the UK or European exchange program.

So what are you waiting for? Just try CBS in the US and who knows, you might have your replacements in 2 weeks.

It was an enquiry, but I expect when they reply I'll give my details to get the replacements as soon as I can.

Pindar, I e-mailed them as well but just got a standard reply on how to proceed.
