When you get a reply will you be sending off. I have been told it is a diff region than states but I suspect they are region free as well.
is your preference to wait for Uk programme? I have no problem waiting around but an announcemnet would make me feel a bit more secure.
Well if the program works, by them sending you new disks without sending back the ones you have in advance there is nothing to lose by using the one in place at the moment.
Well they dont start till next Fi, could prob afford to wait another day or so
I'm going to wait for the (hopefully) forthcoming EU replacement program simply due to aesthetics and consistency. The US counterparts will not have the BBFC "PG" certification logo imprinted on each disc and will differ visually from the rest of the set in at least that way - I know - I'm just weird like that. Also, I suspect the US discs boot directly to the CBS ident as opposed to the static language selection screen on the UK versions.
Of course, this is all academic for me as I've ripped the episodes uncompressed for instant access on my media player! Still, I want all my discs to be "the same"!
Amazon UK have updated their statement.

The manufacturer has confirmed the following technical issues with this product. The sound has been incorrectly mapped on some episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season One on Blu-ray. This error will impact customers using a 7.1 or 5.1 Surround Sound environment. Until corrected discs are available, we have removed the product from sale. We are working to resolve this and will be contacting customers who have previously purchased this title from Amazon.co.uk.
So I guess this means Amazon will be contacting those of us who got it from them soon.

Since that Amazon.co.uk comment came up I decided to email play.com, which is where I got my set.
So I might get 2 sets of replacement discs.
Amazon.de has contacted me even though I hadn't even asked about it. I guess they sent emails out to everybody who bought the set.
They apologized, said they're about to sort replacement discs, and sent me the code for a €5 amazon gift coupon.
Not complaining. Looks like I'll get my new discs soon.
We get the static language selection screen too.
I got an email from phe but I think I'll wait and see if amazon email me over the weekend now.
girl I talked to at play.com has to talk to head office to find out what is going to happen at play.
I have email from phe from Wed, but giving it a few more days to see about the play query and if any more about the UK European announcement.

I ordered the european (?) steelbock edition from Amazon Germany (amazon.de).
The set will be shipped on August 20th, hopefully with the replacement discs already included?!
However, there's currently no statement on the article page...
This might sound like a daft question but if I went ahead and put my codes down for the US replacement system and the UK replacement system was then announced would I then be unable to use the UK one. I mean I guess it is a once only thing or would it not matter. This is another reason why I am waiting.
