Tonights a good night to watch "Fear Her"

Yes, it would be a good night, time wise, but still... iTunes even gave it away as a free download this week and I downloaded it to my iPod, but, man, I don't know...

I just saw the ceremony and sadly, the above image was not made into reality. Count this as "The awkward moment when you realize the Doctor does not exist in our universe."

On the bright side, we dodged the bullet of the events of "Fear Hear" being part of our reality, so I guess there's that.

You're not the only one to think of it, it's obvious. What d'yer want a topic of people going "nyerherrherrr, Fear Her had that Olympics stuff"?

Maybe I was imagining it, but I was sure they played the Tardis landing sound during the musical montage sequence. During Bohemian Rhapsody, as I recall.

Oh ye of little faith...

Clearly someone changed time at some point.

See? No problem.

It wasn't your imagination. I was hoping we'd see it too somehow, but alas that didn't happen.

We just missed it because the Doctor made sure the perception filter was working. :bolian:

I disliked fear her as soon as we saw that cheap looking housing estate and the Dame Kelly Holmes Avenue. Then the actual episode happened and felt cheated. They had a great vehicle to do a good 2012 Olympics ep and they failed.

So no. Lol. There is never a good time to watch Fear Her.

Yes i heard it too. I was watching live at home. Danny Boyle would've fitted in Doctor Who somewhere, it may have even been on the video montage on the inflatable house during the music but I wasn't looking. They had Fawlty Towers, Only Fools & Horses, British films etc all playing on it. I'll have to watch it again.

He had Mr. Bean playing Chariots of Fire, but being a silent character, sort of, they could do it. So me and a few mates, and most of Twitter, came to the conclusion that Boyle put the reference in for the fans, didn't show the Tardis/Doctor because you'd need to break away from the ceremony to do a scene and it would take away the atmosphere.

I dunno.*

At least we got a sound reference from Danny Boyle. As if the Doctor was there only as a background spectator. We weren't forgotten.

Probably the most logical place to put the Doctor was where James Bond was. And I suppose it's easier to have a couple of doubles jump out of a helicopter than it is to have the TARDIS materialize out of thin air.

When the Doctor rebooted the universe in "The Big Bang," he made sure to excise the rubbish bits, like "Fear Her," "Love & Monsters," and "Timelash.";)
