Who would you put on a West Coast Avengers team? It would be intriguing given the state of Clint right now and being so close to Utopia...unless this is what Remender intends Uncanny Avengers to be. As I understand it the Avengers Academy is currently housed in the West Coast Avengers former base.

Actually, "currently" there is no Avengers Academy. Hank and Tigra disbanded it after last issue, as the only reason the kids were in danger was that they attended a school called "Avengers Academy". Although. I'm sure the Academy will return in one form or another after AvX.

But pedantic corrections aside, yeah, the Academy has been based out of the old WCA compound since issue 21. :)

Also didn't the Five "secure" all Avengers facilities or were in the process of doing so at the start of issue #8?

^ Nothing like that happened in AA, so I'll just count that as yet another AvX continuity inconsistency.

Bendis speaks about All New X-Men. This would be a much more interesting story if Bendis wasn't writing it. He's proven in Avengers Vs X-Men and any other time that he has written X-Men characters that he doesn't know how to write them properly.

I like how he thinks he knows what fans of Jean want. Wrong Brian. We did want Jean...but not a time travelling Jean. That's just a cop out because you guys couldn't come up with a way to resurrect her again or whatever (or didn't want to). I know the majority of my friends who are Jean fans that I've talked with are disappointed with this. Not what we were expecting at all.

I don't know if even consider something like thatbringing her back. Since she's a time traveler who hasn't had any of the experiences that Jean had since the original team was around, she won't be the same character who died. It's a Jean, but not the Jean that people want back (if people do want her to come back).

Conversely... As unreal as you perceive her weight as a "fictional character", imagine what she thinks of the more fictional characters in this disturbed and highly improbably and aggressive future?

i mean, it's not till Excalibur that any time travelers actually tried to make Days of futures past living under a Sentinel Occupation at all livable... before that, they'd just turn their noses up, say "fuck this" and try to paradox the frakk to death after they return to the past.

Teen Age Jean Grey wants to use Victor Von Dooms Time Machine.

    What's she going to do?

Knock on the port cullis to Castle Von Doom, wearing a tube top with a six pack in one hand and complete set of dirty intentions in the other?

    These X-Men are a liability.

Flash fucking Thompson is snaking my girl! AGAIN!

Why can't I get some 8 foot tall Valkyrie loving instead of that Spider-Man wannabee?

Take a look at Captain America's new costume...

Granted, it's been a long time since I read Mark Millar's The Ultimates, but this new look seems very similar to me.

I like it. I still think it looks like Spidey has a tweaked design as well in that Marvel Now teaser.

Rick Remender talks about Uncanny Avengers...

I'm torn on this one. It sounds good, but I'm not particularly anxious to having yet another book with Stabby McKnifehands in it.

Re: Heroic Age/Avengers Ongoing Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Logan is a major player now in the Marvel Universe. Even more so thanks to the events of Schism and Avengers Vs X-Men. Now there's actual story reason to include him in more books as he is the Headmaster of the Jean Grey School, as opposed to "he's one our most popular characters, we gotta force shoehorn him into everything". At least they have a story reason now to do this.

This is probably the book I'm looking forward to the most...that is until Hickman "Avengers" starts and the new Fantastic Four creative team is announced. It's Remender too. He hasn't let me down yet.

Incredible Hulk #11 - Hidden City of Sasquatches, 'nuff said.
Dark Avengers #178 - TBolts have jumped forward thanks to Doom, guess we find out next issue or perhaps two if Man-Thing can rediscover is emphatic nature to reconnect to the Nexus and bring everyone home. Meanwhile they are in a very Judge Dredd inspired future, complete with Dredd knock off who has Iron Man armor and shoots webbing.
