Series 7 FINALLY Starts Shooting

Sea Devils?

I want Air Devils.

Pterodactyls with box cutters and concussion grenades.

So you got these hyper intelligent somewhat humanoid winged lizards swooping and diving all over the pl... I'm getting a Hunter S. Thompson vibe... but yeah.

Now imagine what UNITs answer is to such a threat?

Rocketfuckingteers.

The most interesting thing I got from the Barrowman interview was that Karen was living in his flat during shooting. I had no idea about that.

Also "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" sounds fascinating.

Whoa, wait, I thought Mark Gatiss was doing a different episode?

No, he's doing two...

I cut him a tiny bit of slack because he's written plenty of good non-Who stuff.
Then give Chibnall some slack, too. He's written plenty of good non-Who stuff, including Life on Mars, Law & Order: UK, and even even Torchwood (at least "Fragments" and "Exit Wounds").

Just curious, has BBC America announced the date the new season starts? With the Olympics coming up, I'm assuming it will be mid-august but I'm beginning to feel the long wait between new seasons, and there isn't much I'm currently watching this summer.

Neither BBC One nor BBC America have formally announced premiere dates, but for various reasons 25 August seems pretty likely.

Space hasn't announced anything yet either...although they've started airing "Doctor Who" marathons on Sunday. I believe they're getting ready for next month.

Yeah, and it's not difficult to discern when BBCA will start it. Just look at their schedule as it is now and figure out how their repeat cycle falls out from there. They do a complete cycle of reruns in the lead up to the next series, the last cycle includes the previous series, which they have excluded from the cycle up to that point. So, when you see Series 6 in their Tuesday - Friday schedule, you'll know that Series 7 is "coming soon." As of next Friday, they will be on Voyage of the Damned. Calculate from there, and you can arrive at an approximate due date for Series 7.

Kind of hard when I really don't pay much attention to BBC America other than for Doctor Who and if there is a movie on that I just stick with (Like this weekend, Jurassic Park was on). Of course that Copper show looks interesting, but I might as well stick with Doctor Who.

Yeah, I wondered if these Sunday DW marathons would be leading up to the premiere of the new season, and it seems that would make sense if one considers series 1, 2 (this past weekend), 3, 4, 4b (specials season), 5, 6, and then the following weekend being Saturday the 25th when we suspect 7 will start.

That seems logical. They've usually aired marathons before prior to the start of the new series so this makes sense.
