Series 7 FINALLY Starts Shooting

A quick S7 shooting update for y'all.

The Xmas Special script still isn't finished yet(!), so they've moved on to shoot Gatiss' second script for the year (featuring the return of several characters from the last series*). After that production goes on a break for Comic-Con and Promotional Work for the 1st half of S7 (which should begin on the 25th of August) and when they resume in late August the hope to finally have a finished Xmas script from Moffat to shoot.

And a bonus character in a tuxedo

Not necessarily. They are a cloned race after all, so this could very well be a different character.

And might I just take a moment to add:
Sontaran in a tuxedo? Total YES!

I like the idea of wearing outfits that fit with the time period, but Jenna Louise-Coleman reminds me of Helena Bonham-Carter in that outfit ... in a BAD way.

Q.L.A. Anti-Time Device
After the Doctor disappeared, the Cybermen and Daleks went to war across the universe. And on each world they destroyed they left in their wake, Stone Angels, picking over the dead and dying. But the Cleric army fought back and scoured the dead worlds left after the wars, looking for the wreckage of Daleks, Cybermen, and broken Angels to create a hugely powerful 'anti-time' device. A device part Dalek, part Cyber technology and used the Quantum signature from the Angel to trigger a Gateway to pull enemies into the time Vortex.... Erasing them from Time completely. This Dalek & Cyberman Hybrid Technology Unit includes four play modes: Dalek, Cyberman, Angel & multi technology. Includes speech, sounds and light FX. Send your enemies into the Time Vortex!

Trans-Temporal Sonic Screwdriver
With the TARDIS trapped on Earth in a Trans-temporal schism, the Doctor find himself at the centre of four time zones. As with each previous time the TARDIS generates a new sonic screwdriver for the Doctor but this time it is created in the style of each time zone, Elizabethan, Victorian, Present Day and Future London. With additional features including a 'wood' setting, the Doctor must try and free the TARDIS before time runs out. Replica sonic screwdriver with 8 new sound effects. Also compatible with your Personalise Your Own Sonic Screwdriver Set so you can mix and match the pieces in different ways to create your own version.

It finally does wood!

^ The Daleks have hands now? At least they still don't have noses.

If the screwdriver has wood, I hope that means they'll use the Victorian control room to make it.

That sonic screwdriver seems to have one of those Data Ghost things that everyone on the expedition in the Library story had on their spacsuits, and that River had on her sonic screwdriver. Interesting...

Possible story spoilers

Sadly not. Basically with only a handful of episodes airing this year (and then not until the Autumn), Character Options had to make up their own new toys to sell since they woun't have anything S7 specific available for Christmas.

Now that you mention it, that thing about gun being devloped by the Military Church by scavenging parts from Daleks, Cybermen and broken Weeping Angels did seem a bit too fanboy...

too fanboy?

Have you *seen* Pandorica Opens or A Good Man Goes To War?

When you get down to it, those episodes are just a bunch of alien cameos. Aside from key players like the Daleks, Cybermen, and Sontarans, most don't even speak.

War between the Daleks and Cybermen with the Weeping Angels picking over the dead and the Military Church scavenging the battlefields and developing a gun based on what they find on the other hand...

Matt Smith was on G4's Comic-Con convention coverage wearing the bowler hat and it really works on him. Being interviewed by John Barrowman (with a couple of inadvertent upskirt shots of Karen Gillan thrown in) and I'm really starting to get jonesin' for the new series.
