Series 7 FINALLY Starts Shooting

Cleveland's wrong. a faggot is a spiced meatball, usually covered in gravy.

a fag is a cigarette.

After doing a quick Google search I discovered it was I who got the quote wrong. He actually did say "fag."

I feel so embarassed. Meh, it was a quote from an episode from nearly eleven years ago.

I'll just leave this here.

*snicker*

You know Doctor Who is having a slow news day when the most popular thread in the forum is discussing the difference between fags and faggots...

"Every time we think we're out, they pull us back in!"

Arthur Darvil and Karen Gillan have returned to the series for a second time since they left to do extra shooting for Episodes 4 & 5. (If you want to know which ones they are keep an eye out for shots were Amy suddenly starts sporting a long-haired wig.)

It's a television show, not G.I. Joe: Retribution. Sheesh... :)

Seriously, though, this may make more sense than it looks (even though it's spending days and money that are needed filming the rest of the season). We know that Moffat likes to seed his story arc throughout the seasons. We also know that, with this season, that Moffat is blowing deadlines and behind the eightball. It may be that Moffat has only now figured out how his overarching story arc will play out across multiple episodes, so he's having to write scenes for episodes that have already filmed to make the arc work.

And yes, I know that Moffat has said that the days of arcs are in the past. I also know that Moffat lies. :)

The slightly more prosaic reason I've heard is that the ever changing weather during the original shooting (without any handy 'Curse Of Fenric' style excuse to throw in) prompted the need for reshoots to make things match up.

And given that some of the scenes shot for Episode 4 seemed identical to ones shot first time round, it seems pretty reasonable.

A quick S7 shooting update for y'all.

The Xmas Special script still isn't finished yet(!), so they've moved on to shoot Gatiss' second script for the year (featuring the return of several characters from the last series*). After that production goes on a break for Comic-Con and Promotional Work for the 1st half of S7 (which should begin on the 25th of August) and when they resume in late August the hope to finally have a finished Xmas script from Moffat to shoot.

Vastra and Jenny

Since Rachael was in Tipping the Velvet, I suppose it's too much to hope she'll be adding to the Vastra/Jenny mythos as a threesome...
