I'm watching Ensigns of Command right now and I just noticed something in the scene where Data is being marveled at for being an android. Right after the lady mentions how more advanced he is than anything they have at the colony, we see this behind Data...

That looks like those droid soldiers from the Star Wars prequels

I know it's a stretch, but the head has similar shape from this angle.

The shape of the "head" looks more like an elongated upside-down drop of liquid/water to me.

Looks to me like the they "borrowed" the Star Wars Droid.

You do know that Ensigns Of Command came wayyyy before Phantom Menace don't you?

I think that's why they put borrowed in quotes.

I think that's why they put borrowed in quotes.

"Borrowed" in quotes would indicate that the writer is substituting "stolen" with "borrowed". I don't know the correct way of indicating sarcasm, but quotes ain't it.

Or maybe Star Wars is in the future, but the story/narration is based even further in the future after the events of Star Wars
