Star trek has always had interesting costume design, from the very sixties designs of william ware theiss, to klingons, to vulcans, to the plethora of starfleet uniforms we've had over the years. So, your challenge is to create your own take on the costume of trek, whether it's a new starfleet uniform, or vulcan ceremonial robes, or something totally different (Remember to make sure your design is still recognisable as trek though ) Engage!
I always liked the "monster maroons" as a design but would have preferred them in the traditional three colors. (not expecting this to win, just entering my concept)
^^^ It seems like in times past it's been established that entries must have been made during the month of the challenge to qualify. But this is a good example of this month's theme. Good stuff! --Alex
I didn't know...usually don't even look at "challenge" threads that closely. If I've offended, I apologize and will take it down or have a mod do it.
I'm sure you don't need to take anything down. I just wasn't sure you were familiar with the rules. It is a well done piece. I've always liked it. --Alex
I have had some ideas for a while. But I still have to get up to 100 posts before I can submit anything.
Thats not true, you can still submit something. You just can't post images. You can post a link and ask someone to embed. Plenty of people will take care of it for you, who ever gets to it first. Please contribute!
Perhaps I'll come up with a new uniform variation, but I still love the hell out of these and I'm not sure I'll ever make something I like more:
They're really really good mate, if I didnt know better I'd say they look as though they'd been in the show. Sort of a First Contact era semi-dress uniform, or maybe cadet tunic or something.
Was aiming for a pre-"The Cage" uniform, with the ribbed collars and the away team jackets devolved back a bit and spiffed up to look a bit more professional for the bridge crew, dress occasions, etc. Or possibly a throwback to that era a few decades post-TNG.
Actually, this contest is done. Entries are due in to Ptrope by the end of the contest month. We're just waiting for the final poll.
Oh, right..........great first post!!!!!! BTW, I might aswell finish this, just a couple more details to make!
