Ok. I just wasn't sure if maybe it would be a clue for comics fans. Were we supposed to know who Sportsmaster's new partner is? It felt like there should have been some significance to the way he kept call Superboy and Blue Beetle "meat".
Not just them, but all humans, including Manheim and his henchwoman. It suggested to me that he's an AI of some sort. And clearly we're not supposed to know who it is yet, which is why he was kept in shadow.
Based on the sonic weapon he is obviously a member of whatever alien race helped make the Scarab. Were we supposed to know who Sportsmaster's new partner is? It felt like there should have been some significance to the way he kept call Superboy and Blue Beetle "meat".

I'm thinking it's another one of "the Rival;" though granted that's only because the animation for his weapon was similar to Jaime's and because I figure "the Rival" will be playing a role in the story.
I figured this would be about confronting Kaldur, but seeing the state that Roy's gotten himself into was much better... and pretty rough as well. How the mighty have fallen, considering how collected and impressive he was before the time jump; safe to say he's no long in the League? I wonder if his physical state and need for money (Weisman's mentioned in Q&As that Roy had a lot of money before the time jump) isn't supposed to just indicate how crazy he's driven himself looking for the original Speedy but also the drug problem from the comics?
I tend to agree that the reason Jim Harper called him "brother" was because of the Cadmus connection, personally, and that he's a clone of an original Jim Harper.
Probably figured college was a full-time job already, without trying to squeeze in superheroing.Yeah, quite a lot got fleshed out here, and I wish we hadn't needed to wait four weeks to get these answers. Maybe a bit too much backstory was filled in all at once, though, since I couldn't figure out who that tall brown-haired guy was standing with Wally, Nightwing, and the others until he revealed he was the former Guardian. And I think the discovery that he was a clone is something that must've happened in the 5-year gap, since I don't remember it. And I'm confused -- is Jim Harper a clone of Roy Harper or of the original Jim Harper, Roy's great-uncle? He called Roy "brother," suggesting they're clones of the same "parent." And he does have the same voice (Crispin Freeman) and a very similar face.
Good to see that Artemis is okay and that she and Wally ended up together. I wonder why they resigned from heroing, though.

I think they were called "the competitor," but otherwise that's my thinking too.

Yeah, I think they were implying that he was a junkie. If he were just obsessed with finding the real Roy, I don't think he would've been that gaunt and weak or living in such squalor.

I dunno... both "Jim" and Roy are voiced by Crispin Freeman and they sound pretty much the same. And Jim does look very much like an older Roy. It seems unlikely they'd be such a close match if Jim were a clone of Roy's great-uncle.

^Well, I checked the Young Justice Wiki, and apparently in "Agendas" Guardian revealed that he was Red Arrow's uncle (not great-uncle as in the comics). I'd forgotten that. Still, the resemblance is so great that I kind of have to wonder if there's a deeper secret, considering that they are clones and that Jim doesn't know his real origins.
Off-topic, but, when hearing Aqualad's real name, am I the only one who thinks of this:
