Get new glasses. In fact, the Wonka room with its big multicolored plastic vessels looks a lot more like the engine room of Picard's Enterprise.
the reboot is just another big budget movie. Its nice to look at, but little substance. It will help to get more people into Star Trek though, which is a good thing.
