Forum for haters of JJ's Star Trek

the same people who couldn't grasp all of STs finer points

Allegedly.

Upon closer inspection, the argument seems to... dematerialize.

* transporter sound effect *

Shoehorned under the carpet is more like it. Oh god, its moving! Its trying to get out! ;)

The posters on that board can cry me a river...or kiss my ass, whichever.

Come on now. You must have a preference?

a bit too fluffy for a Trek movie.
It's as un-fluffy as a two hour popcorn blockbuster can be expected to be.

That movie's got more fluff than my navel!

Are you telling me there hasn't been one successful movie with more substance than STXI?

It's futile to expect anything substantial until Star Trek is back on TV.

We can't expect what we aren't prepared to demand.

The problem is, most people don't appear to care.

51.Okay, so they figure out how to use the transporter, and Scotty gets beamed into a water tank... now we know from this scene that WILLY WONKA built the fucking enterprise, complete with see-through pipes...
This is the best analogy for the absurd engineering set that I've yet seen

What’s happening is that people are spending time on something they do like that has been ruined or at least tainted ...

They do remind me of Languatron, who eventually banned the whole world from even reading his board.

Wait so that guy posts stuff that only he could respond to but now only he can read? :wtf:

I think he might not be firing on all thrusters if you know what I mean.

Because we have the slightest idea what a drive system which warps space would look like.

Obviously it will consist of a series of tubes that resemble a Rube Goldberg machine and/or go in circles like a contraption in a Dr. Seuss book.

Not seeing a whole lot of difference here...:p

the reboot is just another big budget movie. Its nice to look at, but little substance. It will help to get more people into Star Trek though, which is a good thing.

New Model
Movies: Colors and Flash
Series: Ideas and not as much flash

Awesome comparison photos KingDaniel !

Very awesome

I find the whole thing absurd. I spend no time at all on those things that I do not like. I cannot imagine devoting so much time on something that I don't like.

Good point. Kind of like fans of hemorrhoids.

That's funny I don't care who y'are.

I am looking forward to a new Trek film. I just wish I hadn't gone in and read the spoilers. Oh, well.

Why is it called "JJ's Star Trek", didn't a Star Trek Fan write it? Isn't that where the true creation of it lies, with the writers?
