"Pon Farr" chamber?!

If that wasn't intended to be a joke, could we infer from the comment that this jungle/volcano world might theoretically be the colony planet Spock Prime(Nimoy) located for surviving Vulcans at the end of the last film? A world with at least a few harsh climates similar to Vulcan before her destruction?

Someone already said they heard that the new film will deal at least to a degree with the ramifications of the obliteration of Vulcan and its aftereffects. Just a theory.

Still...I wonder if we will see the Vulcan colony planet in the next film to witness how the survivors of Nero's attack are coping. Vulcans are such a crucial race in the TREK universe it's just a matter of time before we see their new planet, even if it's not in TREK 2013. Nimoy's not going to be in the new movie, but it'd be pretty cool to get at least one on-screen reference to Spock Prime's efforts to resettle Vulcan refugees.

Yeah. Read the quote in context. It's a joke. Too bad, too. It would probably be a helluva scene and get the movie an "R" rating. Or even "NC17". Or would that be, NCC-1701"?

Well, why did JJ use three colours for divisions, the arrowhead insignia, a starship with nacelles...?

Because it's Star Trek. So of course the spacesuits should look like Starfleet spacesuits.

Pon Farr chamber?

Those are two separate comments. The first ("He executed an innocent PA* on the spot,") is referring to J.J. Abrams being upset (about the earlier leaked photos, presumably, and Zoe Saldana's comment on that.) Only the second is about what Spock is doing the "volcano suit".

And both jokes, yes. Orci's got a long history of making those, in TrekMovie comment threads and elsewhere.

Red trees! Red planet....Mars!

Well, I googled and Qo'Nos is referred to as The Red Planet. It was a stange web site too! Never saw it before.

And they say Trekkies are nerds. I don't know what they're talking about.
