Yeah, I did wonder. And, of course, "Immortal Coil" is the novel lots of TNG fans wanted to have footnotes.

I use Wikipedia and Memory Beta all the time when I read the books. Its not bad if you read them in order closely, like when I first started reading Trek and read all the A Time To... books. But if you bounce around a bunch I find them invaluable
