What are some good stories featuring Ace?

Not on the cover I am speaking of. We are a bit behind over here in the States, apparently, I don't know why Jenna is on the one you've seen, and Ace is on the one I've seen.

Maybe but over here it just came out this past week or so. I am reading it right now. Aldo will love it, I hope he gives it a look if he hasn't already bought the issue.

As for Jenna, I can't wait for that issue! I am definitel getting that one.

Like I said I was at the mall today and took a look at the magazines. And the current issue of DWM that I saw had William Hartnell on the cover.

Also while I was there I picked up the first Seven story 'Time and the Rani.' I know it's not an Ace story, but I figured if I was going to be delving into Seven stories, I might as well start with his regeneration story. Plus I always find it interesting how the Doctor goes through a period of slight amnesia where he has to get his bearings.

A much maligned story, and it does have Mel in it (Though, some people really like Mel? I like the audios I've heard with her), but, I actually enjoy the story of Time and The Rani and as you say, the first story after Regeneration are always fun watching the Doctor from the beginning, through his disorientation and seeing who he actually becomes.

I almost picked up the 14 part 'Trial of a Time Lord' just to finally see a story with Colin Baker, but I passed. I know I'll eventually get some of his stuff.

They also had Colin Baker's first story too, which I might pick up just to see the much criticized scene of him strangling Tegan.

Whoops, I only saw Five's final story once so I guess I thought it was still Tegan.

Tegan...come to think of it I think she's the best companion Five had. Peri was too clumsy for my tastes.

Peri was just mostly annoying. though she did improve a little during the brief period she was in the 'Trial' season.

And oh dear. I hope Time and the Rani doesn't put you off Seven. Sad to say, for me his entire first season is tied with Series 17 for 'Worst DW season ever'.

Oh, and beware of Mels scream. It will teach you to hate.

'Time and The Rani' is my introduction to Mel. And it's not a good first impression I'm afraid :p

As for the story itself, I enjoyed it mostly, it did start off a bit slow. But it kept me entertained throughout, and it was fun seeing Seven trying on the different costumes, before deciding on the one he'd wear throughout his tenure. So aside from Mel, I'm really not seeing why this episode is derided so.

One small bit that stood out to me, and that I think is why I really like The Doctor as a character: when the Tetrap that was chasing the Doctor gets caught in the Rani's trap and perishes, Seven takes his hat off to him. Despite being an enemy of his, The Doctor still takes the time to mourn the passing of a living being. I just love that :)

Melanie Bush is a magnificent of heterosexuality.

if you can find her tight little hips and perky little bosoms under those gnarling sweaters and through that evil scream...

'Nuff said.
