Are there any novels that bridge the gap between Generations and First Contact? That deal with
1. ENT E construction
2. Geordie getting implants

Ship of the Line and the Slings & Arrows miniseries.
Ship of the Line is terrible.
Slings and Arrows is mostly good.
The Main story of Imzadi II: Triangle takes place just after Generations, "Friends with the Sparrows" from Sky's the Limit also takes place right around then. As stated above Ship of the Line and Slings and Arrows short story miniseries are in that era as well. I'll also mention Section 31: Rogue which is roughly 6 months prior to FC, as well as the comic book collections The Killing Shadows (from Wildstorm) and Spock: Reflections (from IDW).
Sorry about nitpicking, but hey I'm a Trekkie and it's what we do best. I'm pretty sure the S&A books are actually novellas, not short stories. The Main story of Imzadi II: Triangle takes place just after Generations, "Friends with the Sparrows" from Sky's the Limit also takes place right around then. Ship of the Line is a rotting, decaying and steaming pile of decomposing flesh. It's awful. I think it guest starred in the season 2 finale of The Walking Dead.Ship of the Line and the Slings & Arrows miniseries.
Are they good reads?

As per Ship of the Line, I didn't love it, but I thought it vaguely enjoyable. There's some randomness in it that just seems like they were pulled from Diane Carey's "To Do List" that wouldn't work elsewhere.
Mainly, I was surprised Licensing didn't insist on Carey using canonical crewmembers for Bateson's crew. Barely glimpsed in an episode but totally ignored by Carey.
