The Human Centipede III is being made

The first one was "good" only because of the hype around it and it just being a fucked-up idea.

The second one I didn't see but stuff I read on it seemed like it went too far into the "Blair Witch 2" direction by seemingly treating the first movie as an actual movie and missing some "elements" of what made the first one "good." (Namely the Walken-ian performance of Dieter Laser.

Don't really see how the third one will work. Meh. Whatever.

Okay, after watching a VIDEO REVIEW of it I can say that THCII looks like complete unwatchable crap.

I saw it last night. There's no real meaning or purpose to it. ''Inspired'' by the first film's ''feed her'' scene, the director simply copycats the moment, prolongs it about twenty times, depicts ten or more victims and has a somewhat different outcome, all in ''glorious'' black-and-white.

From that video review alone the movie just looked abysmal. I mean, ugh. The first one actually had an ounce or two of "worth" to it and it was possible to at least like the characters on some level even the doctor.

But from the looks of II, ugh.

You're looking for actual characters in an American horror movie? That hasn't happened since at least THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. Ever since then, every U.S. horror film can be summed up by the line ''What the @#$% was THAT????'':rommie:

Though CENTIPEDE II appears to be a Euro-British production.

Tom Six, the man behind these movies, is Dutch -as are his movies.

So... What were you saying again?

Modern horror movies suck, no matter who makes them.

Unless, of course, you find the right ones. There are a few gems to be found amongst the shit. I would argue that The Descent (the original UK cut, not the "happy ending" US cut) was the best horror movie of the 2000's. But I agree for the most part. Everyone has their idea of what the best era for horror was, but my favorite is the late 70's/early 80's.
