I would totally love to see what a genuine screen version of Steam Trek would be like.
I actually just started getting into it a few months ago, at the suggestion of a friend who said she'd like to see what I'd do with steampunk fashion in my art. I've been doing drawings like these for about 4 months now, and am really rather enjoying them:

My hipster friends all have steampunk earrings, steampunk accessories.. they wear steampunk bronze goggles while riding their vintage scooters. It's gone past silly. I am embarrassed for them.
I forget who said this (might have even been someone on this BBS), but a fantastic quote I can recall describes Steampunk as "Goths who have discovered the color brown".

Those are fantastic, tsq!
I loves me some dieselpunk.I like steampunk stuff, although I have more of a thing for the early to mid 20th Century retro aesthetic, such as dieselpunk. But really, anything where past meets present meets future meets fantasy, complete with an implied cheeky nod and a wink in the design, gets a thumbs-up from me. If that makes any sense at all.![]()
That would be Atompunk or Raygun Gothic.I haven't heard of Dieselpunk. I wonder if there's a name for that colorful 50s/60s/Jetsons/Star Trek aesthetic. That would probably be my favorite.
