Men in Black III Trailer

^^^
There is always the Lonesome Dove series. Surely someone still wants another made for TV movie not related to the book? ;)

Jones, despite looking and sounding like a character in a John Wayne movie, is by all accounts, a very intelligent and thoughtful man. He graduated cum laude from Harvard and, according to Wikipedia his senior thesis was on "the mechanics of Catholicism."

I think he appreciates a paycheck as much as the next person but I also think it's pretty clear he'd rather be doing "deep" stuff than comic book movies. I also suspect that the "improv" and special effects heavy nature of the MIB movies is a little tiring for him.

I wouldn't mind if they ever used Alpha as an MIB villain, since it would give Kay a personal storyline.

If they did so, which British Villain Actor would play him?

Now Now, don't you know the Brits are making a play for the good guy roles.

Nolan Batman = Brit
Newest Superman = Brit
Amazing Spiderman = American-Britsh

Well, it's fine if they play the good guy. They just have to be sure to suppress their British accent. :p

It would be nice to have Warner on screen again. But Big Studio Bosses would want someone more recognizable.

Probably Alan Rickman, seeing how they can sometimes be confused by common viewers (folks who watch the original Tron sometimes think Dillinger/Sark was Alan Rickman).

Jones was extremely vocal about how much he absolutely hated making Men in Black II...
Do you know whether that was because he hated the script, or was it for other reasons?

The script was being rewritten during production, and the entire ending wound up needing to be re-shot. It wasn't as troubled as the production clusterfuck of Men in Black III has been, but it wasn't all sunshine and roses, either.

Jones' statements about the film were very similar to his views on U.S. Marshals -- that it was a sequel desperately looking for a reason to exist.

Given the constant re-writing on set, it'll be lucky if it's a coherent movie. If it manages to pass that benchmark, I'm expecting nothing more than a "safe," "more-of-the-same" sequel like Ghostbusters 2. (Not unlike Men In Black II, honestly).

It still looks disjointed as hell. Feels like, "We have a bunch of scenes, but fuck if we've figured out how they all fit together." Those opening 60 seconds, especially, are brutal. Your final trailer should be the equivalent of a sizzle reel -- the only thing I get from that trailer is "Uh ... okay ... uh?"

As a non-fan of the first, this trailer actually makes me think this could end up being the best of the three...

That actually makes this look a whole lot better. Still reserving judgement, but a bit more optimistic.

Agreed. I thought the first trailer looked a little cheesy, but I'm warming up to the film after this most recent trailer. If anything, it looks like a lot of fun, and unlike the first trailer, the jokes were actually funny.

It looks like a lot of fun to me. I think this might be able to make up MIBII.
